In their own words
GiveSmart
GiveSmart provides fundraising and donor management tools for nonprofits, schools and associations. Its platform covers online fundraising, recurring giving, peer-to-peer campaigns, text-to-donate, auctions and ticketing. Mobile auction bidding supports maximum bids, outbid notifications, item management and self-checkout. Event tools include seating and group management, contactless check-in, guest communication and tax receipts; virtual and hybrid events can add livestreaming, chat, donor recognition and proxy bidding. Campaign reporting includes live reports, dashboards and exports, with receipts and tax letters generated automatically. GiveSmart lists Salesforce, Google Analytics, YouTube and Vimeo among its integrations and supported services. It says its system is PCI and SOC 2 compliant, with encryption, restricted access, vulnerability testing and independent audits. Support includes 24/7 customer service, implementation help, a Help Center and an assigned Client Success Manager. The platform is available on Android, iOS and web. Both pricing models provide full access, unlimited events and campaigns, but prices are available on request; there is no free plan.
Txt2Give
Txt2Give lets churches and nonprofits accept donations by text. A donor sends a keyword and amount from a phone’s messaging app; no separate app download or account is required. The platform processes the payment and sends receipts by email. Donors can set gifts to recur weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or on the 1st and 15th. Plans include unlimited causes and keywords, a branded giving page, a real-time dashboard, and reporting. The service lists English, French, and Spanish support, with Android, iOS, and web access. Named integrations are Planning Center, FellowshipOne, and Community Church Builder; other connections can be made through export. Txt2Give says Stripe handles payments and tokenizes card data rather than storing it on its own servers. The Donor-Supported Plan is free; the Flat Rate Plan costs $25 /month + 1%. Both also incur Stripe processing fees of 2.3% + $0.30/transaction. Push messaging is a separately priced add-on requiring regulatory approval.
