In their own words
glmark2
glmark2 is a free graphics benchmark for OpenGL 2.0 and OpenGL ES 2.0. Its default suite runs scenes covering workloads such as building, textures, shading, bump, buffers, terrain, and shadows, then prints a glmark2 score. Users can specify custom benchmarks through command-line options or benchmark files. Results can be exported to XML or CSV, and available result details include CPU time and shader compilation time. The project documents Linux builds for DRM, Wayland, and X11, including desktop GL and GLESv2 variants, and provides instructions for building and installing an Android APK. Windows support is recorded through WGL and ANGLE-EGL. Building uses Meson and Ninja and requires Meson 0.47 or newer, libpng 1.6, window-system development files, and applicable GL or GLES libraries. On Android, arguments can come through an intent extra or an arguments file, with intent arguments taking precedence when supplied. The Android version ignores several X11 options, including validation, off-screen, fullscreen, and scene-list options. The project is licensed under GPLv3 and is provided without warranty.
UNIGINE Valley Benchmark
UNIGINE Valley Benchmark is a PC hardware performance and stability test focused on GPU rendering and 3D scene performance. It can help evaluate video cards, power supplies, and cooling systems while monitoring GPU temperature and clock speed. Its rendered landscape covers 64,000,000 square meters, with fly-by and hike-through modes for exploring it. Users can control dynamic weather, and the benchmark supports stereo 3D and multiple monitors. The product page lists extended stress testing, command-line automation, and CSV reports as extended-edition features. Results can be exported in HTML or CSV, and custom test profiles are available. Valley runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS; listed requirements include 512 MB of video memory and 1.5 GB of disk space. Linux requires proprietary video drivers. Basic is free for one Gamer seat. Paid one-time plans start at 14.95 USD for Advanced, with listed paid prices excluding tax. The standard EULA limits use to educational and evaluation purposes; commercial use is permitted under the Enterprise EULA, which provides unlimited seats for a 20-year term. The listed version is 1.0 (2013).
