Overview

Unity brings candidate search, messaging, application updates, pipeline work, and activity logging into Microsoft Teams. Its Microsoft 365 Copilot recruiting agent supports natural-language searches and multi-step tasks across connected systems. Unity works with live ATS records without migration and keeps the ATS as the system of record, so it extends an existing database rather than replacing it.

That approach is most compelling for teams already using Microsoft tools and an ATS GLYDE connects to. The named options are Avionté, Bullhorn, JobDiva, Tracker RMS, and Loxo; GLYDE also invites discussion of other connections. Teams using another ATS should establish whether a workable connection is available before making Unity central to recruiting operations.

Key features

Workflows across Microsoft 365

The Teams workspace consolidates routine ATS work in a Microsoft environment, while the Power Automate integration supplies more than 100 pre-built actions for workflows across recruiting data and connected Microsoft tools. That breadth can suit teams already using Power Automate; buyers seeking a standalone ATS rather than an extension to existing systems have less reason to choose Unity.

Candidate engagement and screening

Voice and text agents can engage and screen candidates around the clock, assist them, and send interactions back to the ATS. Candidate screening, FAQs, application intake, voice assistance, and omnichannel channels make Unity relevant to teams looking to automate candidate-facing steps as well as internal workflow. The value depends on whether those interactions fit the team's recruiting process and connected systems.

Context and browser work

Agents can use Excel, CSV, PDF, Google Sheets, SharePoint, and URLs as context for screening, outreach, or importing records. The Chrome Extension adds a page-aware side panel that can search the ATS and act on candidate information from webpages. Together, these features suit teams that work across recruiting records and external material, though they add most when that work is already part of the team's process.

Security and data handling

Unity connects to live ATS records without migration and leaves the ATS as the record system. For its Avionté connector, GLYDE says authentication and sessions are managed automatically and scoped to the customer's tenant. That is a specific assurance for Avionté customers, not a reason to assume the same connector details for every ATS.

Pricing

Unity is paid, with custom pricing. That makes it difficult to weigh against a team's budget without first requesting a quote, so buyers should confirm the commercial terms alongside the ATS connection.

GLYDE Dock is a separate free Chrome side panel: free, forever. It supports Chrome 116 or later, pins up to three live tools, and requires no account. The three-tool cap makes it a lightweight option rather than a substitute for Unity's recruiting workspace and automation. GLYDE says Dock runs on-device without tracking or data collection, and that opt-in browsing history stays on the device.

Platforms

Unity supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows, as well as API and extension access. Dock is specifically a Chrome side panel and requires Chrome 116 or later. The broad Unity platform range is useful for teams spanning devices, but the recruiting workflow's fit still hinges on its Microsoft 365 and ATS connections.

Who it's for

Unity is best suited to staffing and recruiting teams that use Microsoft 365 and want candidate work, engagement, and automation connected to live ATS data. Its named integrations give teams on Avionté, Bullhorn, JobDiva, Tracker RMS, or Loxo a clear starting point. Teams seeking a replacement ATS, or whose existing ATS cannot be connected, should look elsewhere. GLYDE also describes tools for jobseekers and hiring organizations, but Unity's stated strengths center on recruiting-team workflows.

Pros and cons

Pros

ATS remains the record system: Unity connects to live records without requiring migration.
Recruiting work spans several tools: Teams, Copilot, Power Automate, candidate agents, and browser workflows address both internal operations and candidate interactions.
Useful context options: Agents can work with spreadsheets, documents, SharePoint, and URLs, not only ATS data.
A genuinely free side option: Dock costs nothing forever and requires no account, with an on-device privacy approach described by GLYDE.

Cons

Custom pricing: Buyers need a quote to assess Unity's cost.
ATS fit needs confirmation: Five integrations are named, while other connections require discussion.
Dock is tightly capped: It pins up to three live tools and requires Chrome 116 or later, so it is not a full Unity alternative.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, see Recruiting Chatbot Software.

Choose RoundOne AI if the priority is CV screening or voice interviews: its free plan offers unlimited CV screenings, while Solo costs 99.00 GBP per month and includes 100 AI voice interviews monthly. Tellability is another freemium option, with a Free Pilot offering 50 credits per month, three active job postings, 50 candidate unlocks monthly, and up to 15 matched candidates; consider it when those caps suit the hiring workload.

Hireable is oriented toward interview practice and résumé support rather than ATS-connected recruiting: its free plan includes three mock interviews per month, sandboxes, free drills, and five résumé rewrites. For teams focused on candidate messaging, Sense offers SMS and WhatsApp messaging starting at 500.00 USD per month, with shared inboxes, templates, and conversation search.

Talkpush AI Chatbot, XOR, JobTalk AI, and Paradox are other options to compare.

Verdict

Choose GLYDE Unity if your recruiting team works in Microsoft 365, uses an ATS GLYDE can connect, and wants to keep that ATS as the system of record while adding automation and candidate agents. Its strongest reason to choose is the combination of live ATS data with Microsoft-centered workflows; its main reason to look elsewhere is the need to confirm both the connection and custom-priced terms before committing.
