KAZ Type

KAZ Type offers online and downloadable touch-typing courses alongside regulated assessments. Its teaching method combines sight, sound, and touch, which KAZ describes as “brain balance.” KAZ says the A–Z keys section takes most users 90 minutes to complete, while the full course averages four hours plus practice. Editions serve individuals, families, schools, and businesses, with options for children and learners needing accessibility or SEND support. Junior is designed for ages 6–11 and uses age-related vocabulary, imagery, and animation. The VI/Blind edition supports screen readers, magnification, and captioning tools, along with dark mode and speaking keys. Family online access includes five annual licences and an administrator panel for progress monitoring and spelling lists. Online education licences provide student progress monitoring, and LMS editions support SCORM 1.2 and AICC. Downloaded courses can run offline after download and activation. Adult Edition Online costs £29.95 a year; other listed options include one-time and annual licences for home, school, and business use.
