OpenJar Launcher is a Minecraft launcher and modding toolkit for organizing instances, modpacks, mods, configurations, and launches. Each setup is kept in a separate on-disk folder with its own worlds, settings, mods, and metadata. Users can browse and install content from Modrinth, CurseForge, and GitHub, or import Modrinth .mrpack and CurseForge modpack ZIP files, Vanilla Minecraft, and Prism Launcher instances. Lockfile tracking supports version pinning, compatible update checks, and rollback snapshots before updating everything. Creator Studio builds layered modpacks and previews changes before applying them. Run reports and Fix My Instance offer likely causes and reversible recovery actions. Data stays local by default; network activity is for provider, authentication, update, and sync flows the user chooses. Friend Link is designed for small groups, but its first version has no hosted cloud relay or world-save replication. The free plan covers personal and non-commercial use; commercial use requires written permission. Targets include macOS, Linux, and Windows, with the most manual testing on macOS.
