Overview

Founded in 2010 in Mississauga, Ontario, GoFleet aims to help fleets reduce downtime and run safer, more efficient operations. Its web platform gives managers real-time visibility across vehicles and customer services, with reporting intended to support operational decisions.

This is a wider fleet-management offering than a location tracker: it combines hardware and software for vehicle health, dispatch, routing, safety, maintenance, electronic logging, data storage and asset tracking. Live location, diagnostics, driver-behaviour insights, sensor monitoring and ELD support make it relevant to fleets that want to coordinate multiple operational needs rather than buy a single-purpose tracker.

Key features

Tracking, safety and vehicle health

GoFleet describes its GPS tracking as real-time and says it is used for 3.5 million vehicles globally. Managers get safety metrics, customizable alerts, collision-avoidance features and driver coaching. Integrated dash cameras provide high-definition footage review and saved clips for training or incident analysis; the cloud telematics platform combines these with AI, advanced driver-assistance systems and Face AI. That mix can support safety and efficiency programs, though the value depends on a fleet’s need for camera-based monitoring and coaching.

Vehicle diagnostics and maintenance tools address scheduled and unscheduled downtime, while ELD solutions automate driver and back-office time tracking, reporting and compliance management. For fleets that need both vehicle oversight and compliance workflows, this breadth is more useful than GPS location alone.

Dispatch and asset monitoring

Mobile Dispatch lets drivers install the app by SMS and sign in with a mobile number, then receive jobs, update status and capture signatures and photos as proof of delivery. Real-time job tracking and notifications give dispatch teams a way to follow work through completion. Installation assistance, troubleshooting and ongoing technical support are offered to Mobile Dispatch users.

Asset tracking and temperature monitoring are designed to reduce monitoring costs and support product-quality standards, a relevant combination for cold-chain operations. GoFleet also offers proprietary BLE indoor tracking with stated positioning accuracy of 50 cm, which can help where assets need locating inside facilities as well as across a fleet.

Integrations, API and security

An SDK supports custom functions, phone and tablet apps, third-party software and custom reports, while hardware integrations extend through sensors, cameras and marketplace solutions. The public API is capped at 150 requests per minute; exceeding that limit triggers a 429 response. That is a concrete constraint for integrations with frequent polling or high-volume data needs, so API usage should be checked against expected traffic.

GoFleet describes device protections including encryption, authenticated end-to-end telematics security, message-integrity verification, non-static keys and digitally signed firmware. Its GO9 RUGGED tracker is described as FIPS 140-2 validated by NIST and certified to IP68 and IP69K. Website information is encrypted with SSL, and personal information is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Personal information is stored on cloud servers in North America and may also be stored in other countries.

Pricing

GoFleet uses paid, customized pricing: buyers pay for what they use, and must contact the company for an estimate. There is a free trial, but no per-seat or per-vehicle price is available to compare upfront. This model can suit fleets whose requirements span different hardware and software needs, but it makes budgeting and plan-to-plan comparison harder. Request a quote that spells out the hardware, services and usage needed for the intended deployment.

Platforms

GoFleet supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, Windows and API access. The range accommodates mobile drivers, desktop fleet teams and integrations, although the public API’s rate limit remains relevant to connected systems.

Who it's for

GoFleet targets construction, government, waste management, airports, emergency response, transportation, forestry, agriculture, food and beverage, school transportation, healthcare, delivery, oil and gas, and public transportation. It is a strong candidate for operators that need a mix of vehicle tracking, dispatch, compliance, safety or sensor monitoring, especially where asset or temperature monitoring also matters. A fleet that only needs straightforward GPS location may find the broad hardware-and-software package and quote process more than it needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines real-time vehicle visibility with diagnostics, safety tools, ELD, dispatch and asset monitoring, helping multi-function fleets bring related operations together.
Pros: Mobile Dispatch supports job updates and photo- or signature-based delivery proof, with installation and ongoing technical support.
Pros: SDK and hardware integration options support custom apps, reports and connected equipment.
Cons: Customized pricing requires a sales conversation, making upfront cost comparison difficult.
Cons: The public API limit of 150 requests per minute may constrain integrations that need frequent requests.

Alternatives

Fleet Telematics Software is the broader category for comparing fleet-focused options.

Choose Traccar if a freemium option or Linux and self-hosted platform support is a priority; its Tracking Account costs 9.95 USD per month for a single user on a shared server with a selected device limit and default server configuration.

GPSWOX has a free plan and lower-cost entry pricing: Light (Lite) is 2.99 USD per month when billed yearly for one object, while Basic is 9.97 USD per month when billed yearly for one to five objects. It is worth comparing for buyers whose needs fit those object limits and who prefer published entry prices.

Geotab is another paid fleet option, with a GO Plan covering safety and AI scoring, HOS/ELD and tachograph compliance, predictive maintenance and fuel monitoring.

RAM Tracking offers a Lite plan at 7.99 GBP per month per vehicle, with two-minute GPS updates, desktop-only access, three months of reporting history, cloud software and fleet reminders; it is a clearer fit for buyers prioritizing a defined tracking plan.

Powerfleet is another paid option, with Fleet Insights covering GPS tracking, geofencing, driver behaviour, optional engine diagnostics, IFTA and DVIR.

Titan GPS uses personalized quotes based on fleet size and selected features.

ClearPathGPS offers Standard with real-time visibility, virtual geofences, basic reports and U.S.-based support; its vehicle dash camera is an additional $30/month.

FleetGO provides its solutions by quote, with TMS Software charging for vehicles deployed during a month.

Verdict

Choose GoFleet if your operation needs more than GPS tracking and can benefit from combining dispatch, safety, compliance, vehicle health or asset monitoring. Its broad toolset and integration options are the main reasons to consider it; custom pricing and the API cap are the main reasons to look elsewhere if you need immediate cost certainty or high request volume.
