In their own words
Google Fonts
Google Fonts is a catalog of fonts for websites, released under open-source licenses for commercial and non-commercial use. A website can use a font by linking a stylesheet and referencing the font in CSS. Developers can also query the REST-based Google Fonts Developer API for font metadata in JSON; each request requires an API key. The API supports sorting by alphabet, date, popularity, style count, and trending growth, plus filters for family, subset, and category. It can return variable font files and axis-range metadata when capability=VF is requested. For projects that need specific characters, the text parameter can reduce a requested font file’s size by up to 90%. Native Android apps can use the Font Provider in Google Play Services, supported from Android Jelly Bean API level 16 onward. Fonts can also be self-hosted for redistribution under their license terms. Google says the Web API is designed to limit data collection, storage, and use, and is not used to create end-user profiles or for advertising. The catalog is free at free.
OH! MY FONT.
OH! MY FONT. is a subscription service for Japanese design fonts, with a catalog of about 300 typefaces. Its app lets subscribers manage fonts and activate a chosen typeface with one click. The maker lists Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Figma as desktop apps where the fonts can be used. Included fonts are permitted for commercial work such as logos, advertising, and packaging. The service describes character coverage that includes commonly used kanji and some characters unavailable in Adobe Fonts. A 14-day free plan provides the same typefaces as the annual plan and does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. The annual plan costs ¥26,400 a year. One license can be assigned to one PC at a time, though the assigned computer can be changed. The app cannot be used while the PC is offline, and users must be located in Japan. Listed platforms are macOS, web, and Windows; the FAQ specifies macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later and Windows 11 26H1 or later, dated June 23, 2026.
