Overview

Policies can be created with AI or uploaded, then kept in a central library and assigned to individuals, departments, locations, or the whole organization. That targeting is useful for teams with different rules across sites or groups, while a single organization-wide assignment remains available for policies that apply to everyone.

Employees review and acknowledge policies through the Employee Portal. HR can see completed and outstanding acknowledgements, with timestamped records tied to a particular policy version. Archived versions and separate tracking for revised policies make the record more meaningful than a simple completion count: teams can distinguish who confirmed current wording from who acknowledged an earlier version.

Key features

Automated reminders follow up with employees who have not acknowledged an assigned policy, and acknowledgement records can be exported for audits. Together, these features help HR manage follow-through and retain evidence without relying solely on manual chasing or a live dashboard.

Policy management is part of a broader HR platform that also includes document generation, digital signatures, employee records, compliance checks, expiration alerts, leave management, incident logging, and asset tracking. That breadth favors teams seeking several HR workflows in one product; organizations looking only for policy distribution may not need the surrounding tools. HRDocket says signed documents are encrypted and stored securely.

Pricing

HRDocket uses a freemium model, with a free plan and paid plans billed annually. The pricing page also offers 24 hours of full Business-plan access without a card or commitment, which is a short window for assessing the higher-tier feature set.

Free — 0.00 USD per free: Up to 1 employee, 1 company, 10 AI credits, and watermarked PDF downloads. This is suited to a solo user exploring the platform, but the one-employee ceiling makes it unsuitable for managing acknowledgements across a team.
Starter — 15.83 USD per month, billed Annually ($190): Up to 15 employees, 2 companies, 120 AI credits/month, and 2 custom templates. It is the lower-cost paid step for small teams, but it does not include a stated policy distribution and acknowledgement tracking quota.
Growth — 40.83 USD per month, billed Annually ($490): Up to 50 employees, 3 companies, 250 AI credits/month, 5 custom templates, and 5 distribution and acknowledgement tracking items. It fits a modest multi-company operation, provided five tracked items cover its policy workload.
Business — 82.50 USD per month, billed Annually ($990): Unlimited employees, 4 companies, 600 AI credits/month, 7 custom templates, and unlimited policy distribution and acknowledgement tracking, plus dedicated support. This is the clearest fit for organizations that would outgrow Growth’s five-item allowance or need unlimited employee capacity.

The free plan’s employee cap and watermarked downloads constrain ongoing use; Starter raises the employee limit but still lacks a stated tracking allowance. Growth introduces tracking with a firm five-item limit, while Business removes that limit and adds dedicated support. The published monthly figures are tied to annual billing, so the annual commitment matters when comparing them with month-to-month prices elsewhere.

Platforms

HRDocket runs on the web, making it a browser-based choice rather than a listed native mobile or desktop app.

Who it's for

Small teams can start with the free tier or Starter, while organizations managing policies across more employees, companies, locations, or departments have a path through Growth to Business. The key fit question is the number of policy distribution and acknowledgement tracking items: Growth provides five, and Business is the only plan with unlimited tracking. Teams that need more than web access or a broad suite of HR functions should weigh those requirements before choosing it.

Pros and cons

Pros: Assignments can target people, departments, locations, or the whole organization, and version-linked timestamps clarify exactly what employees acknowledged.
Pros: Automated reminders and exportable records support follow-up and audit preparation, while the platform brings policy work together with other HR functions.
Cons: Growth limits distribution and tracking to five items, which may be restrictive for organizations with larger policy libraries.
Cons: The free plan is capped at one employee and watermarks PDF downloads; Starter’s 15-employee ceiling and lack of a stated tracking allowance limit its use for team-wide policy workflows.
Cons: Business removes the tracking quota but costs 82.50 USD per month on annual billing, a substantial step up from Growth for teams that need more capacity.

Verdict

Choose HRDocket Policy Management if you want policy distribution, version-specific acknowledgement records, reminders, and audit exports alongside a wider HR toolkit. Its main advantage is keeping those workflows together; its main constraint is that unlimited tracking and employee capacity require the annual Business plan, while Growth stops at five tracked items. Teams with a smaller policy workload may find Growth sufficient, but those needing more tracking capacity should budget for Business or compare other options.
