In their own words
Grafana Loki
Grafana Loki is a free, AGPLv3-licensed log aggregation system for storing and querying application and infrastructure logs. It can be self-hosted on Linux or accessed through Grafana Cloud Logs plans, with API support and live log tailing. Loki scales horizontally, supports high availability and multiple tenants, and indexes labels instead of log-line contents. LogQL provides queries in Grafana or the LogCLI command-line tool. Grafana describes object-storage support for high-throughput, durable, petabyte-scale retention. Loki can evaluate alerting rules on incoming logs and send results to Prometheus Alertmanager, with native integrations for Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubernetes. Documented ingestion options include Grafana Alloy, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes Monitoring Helm, Docker, Fluent Bit, Fluentd, and Logstash. Installation methods include Helm, Tanka, Docker, Docker Compose, local installation, and source builds. Cloud plans range from free to paid Pro and Enterprise options.
TigerOps
TigerOps describes itself as an agentic AI observability platform for monitoring production issues and carrying out pre-approved remediation. It ingests metrics, traces, logs, and events for AI-based correlation, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and forecasting. Its AI SRE Agent can detect incidents, identify causes, and execute actions such as restarting services, scaling deployments, or rolling back releases. Listed features include infrastructure monitoring, APM, real user and synthetic monitoring, error tracking, dashboards, and alerting. TigerOps lists more than 275 integrations, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PostgreSQL, Redis, and PagerDuty. The free plan is free and includes five hosts, one-day log and metric retention, 1 GB of logs per day, 10,000 synthetic checks per month, one user seat, and community support. On Free and Pro, excess logs are dropped and trigger an alert. TigerOps says stored data uses AES-256-GCM encryption and API and agent traffic uses TLS 1.3. The company was founded in 2023 and lists offices in San Francisco, London, and Chennai.
