Overview

Layla builds personalized plans covering flights, hotels, activities, dining and recommendations. It says it compares real-time prices and availability for flights, hotels, trains and car rentals, and names Booking.com, Skyscanner and GetYourGuide as travel partners. This range can help turn a trip idea into a plan with booking options; it does not remove the need to verify prices, availability and other important details before committing.

Human travel advisors can plan, book and manage trips, and Layla says their planning help carries no extra planning cost. That option may appeal to travelers who want assistance beyond AI suggestions. With explicit consent, users can also import trip information from Gmail or Outlook and travel-profile information from Instagram, which may reduce manual setup but requires linking personal accounts.

Key features

Itineraries, routes and maps

Travelers can adjust itineraries, routes, schedules and costs, then download PDF plans for offline access or sharing. Interactive video, multi-destination route maps, a road trip planner and creator videos linked to planning tools connect inspiration with itinerary work. Together, these tools make Layla more than a search-and-suggestion service, particularly for travelers combining destinations or planning a road trip. The trade-off is that generated travel details may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, so the itinerary is a draft to check, not an authority to follow uncritically.

Advisor support and privacy

Advisor help can provide a human route to planning and trip management, while the app supports collaborative planning. Layla says it uses encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and private, access-controlled storage for identity documents. It also says its AI providers process user content to produce results but do not use that content to train their models. Those safeguards are relevant for users importing personal trip information, though account imports still involve sharing access with the service.

Pricing

Layla uses a freemium model. The Layla.ai plan is free, with no subscription fee; users pay for travel they choose to book. This is the sensible starting point for occasional planners who want to explore the service without a subscription. The free plan does not cover booked travel, so trip costs remain separate.

Layla Premium offers unlimited access to the app at custom pricing. It may suit frequent planners who want ongoing app access, but travelers comparing costs should account for the separate cost of any bookings. No seat or usage quota is stated for either plan.

Platforms

Layla runs on Android, iOS and the web, with mobile apps and a map view. That combination supports planning across phone and browser, while PDF itineraries provide an offline option. Collaborative planning and booking links round out the toolkit for people coordinating a trip with others.

Who it's for

Layla is aimed at families, couples, solo travelers, groups, road trippers, rail travelers, business travelers and luxury seekers. Its adjustable plans, route maps and advisor support are especially relevant to people managing multi-stop or more involved trips. Those who only need a simple itinerary, or who prefer not to connect personal accounts or rely on AI-generated suggestions, may find the breadth unnecessary.

Verdict

Choose Layla if you want AI itinerary building, route and map tools, booking options and access to human advisors in one travel service. The free plan makes it accessible without a subscription, but it does not pay for trips, and important AI details need verification. Travelers who want a simpler or more clearly bounded free planning tool should compare the alternatives before settling on Layla.
