GVST GSnap
GVST GSnap is a free pitch-correction effect plug-in for VST hosts, intended for music production, broadcasting, and audio editing. It offers fixed-scale correction based on selected notes, or MIDI correction controlled in real time. In MIDI mode, audio notes move to the nearest note currently held on a controller or specified in a sequence. A visual display distinguishes source pitch in red from corrected pitch in green. Controls cover detection range and gate, correction amount and timing, pitch bend, vibrato, and tuning calibration. GSnap is designed for monophonic material, such as a vocal melody or instrument line, rather than chords or rhythm. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, with documented 32-bit and 64-bit versions for Windows and Linux. It cannot run by itself and needs a VST host; Audacity is one possible host. Installation generally requires extracting the ZIP archive and copying the plug-in into a folder scanned by the host, as there is no automated installer. The plug-in is supplied at no cost and may be used for private or commercial audio work.
