Overview

The compliance feature covers I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signatures, with an audit trail. That is a useful cluster for teams managing recurring forms and reporting in one place. Harmny’s scope extends well beyond compliance: it presents 26 modules across Core HR, People Ops, Work, Analytics, and Engagement. The founder also describes bringing performance reviews, career frameworks, OKRs, and 1:1s together. This breadth may appeal to teams consolidating people processes, but can be more than organizations seeking only EEO-1 reporting need.

EEO-1 reporting and an audit trail are explicitly included. The company says a SOC 2 Type II audit is on its roadmap; teams with present-day assurance requirements should weigh that carefully.

Key features

Compliance workflows: I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signatures cover several recurring documentation needs. An audit trail adds a record of activity, making the combination more relevant to process management than a simple form repository.
Connections and API: Starter includes Google Calendar sync. The REST API is available on Growth and Enterprise, while custom HRIS integrations are an Enterprise feature. Teams needing system-level connections should budget for a higher tier.
Enterprise controls: Enterprise includes SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and custom data residency. These are aimed at organizations with identity-management and data-location requirements, not small teams choosing on cost alone.

Pricing

Harmny has a free plan and paid plans from $8/user/mo, with Starter and Growth offering a 14-day free trial without a credit card. The plans differ substantially in capacity, support, and access to integrations, so the starting price is not the whole decision.

Plan	Price and terms	What it means
Free	Free; forever free, no credit card required	Up to 10 users, 5 GB storage, and 2 MB maximum file uploads. Community support. Suitable for a small team with light file needs, but the upload ceiling is restrictive for larger documents.
Starter	8.00 USD per month; $6.40 / user / mo billed annually	Unlimited users with a 3-seat minimum, 50 GB storage, and 25 MB file uploads. Includes Google Calendar sync and email support. The seat minimum and annual-billing rate matter for very small teams.
Growth	16.00 USD per month; $12.80 / user / mo billed annually	Unlimited users with a 5-seat minimum, unlimited storage and file uploads, the REST API, and priority support. It is the more practical paid tier for document-heavy teams or those needing API access, though its minimum commitment is higher.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; annual contracts available	Unlimited users, custom HRIS integrations, custom data residency, custom SLA, SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager. It fits organizations needing tailored integrations or controls, but requires a quote.

Starter and Growth have 14-day trials with no credit card required. Free remains available without a time limit, but its 10-user cap, 5 GB allowance, and 2 MB upload limit are meaningful constraints. Moving up buys capacity and support as well as features; teams that do not need those may have little reason to accept the higher seat minimums.

Platforms

Harmny supports web and API access. The REST API is limited to Growth and Enterprise, so API presence does not mean every plan includes programmatic access.

Who it's for

Harmny is strongest for teams that want compliance workflows as one part of a broader HR system, especially those also drawn to its performance, career-framework, OKR, and 1:1 focus. Free can serve teams of up to 10 users with modest file needs; Starter suits teams ready for a three-seat minimum and moderate storage; Growth is better for larger or document-intensive use. Organizations requiring Enterprise identity controls, custom data residency, or custom HRIS integrations should consider Enterprise. A buyer focused narrowly on compliance reporting, or one requiring a completed SOC 2 Type II audit, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: The feature combines I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy signatures with an audit trail, covering several recurring workflows together.
Pros: The free plan has no time limit or card requirement, giving teams up to 10 users a way to start without a paid commitment.
Pros: Higher tiers add clear escalation paths: API access on Growth, then custom integrations and enterprise identity and residency controls.
Cons: Free’s 2 MB upload cap and 5 GB storage limit will constrain teams moving substantial documentation.
Cons: Starter and Growth require at least three and five seats respectively, which can make the paid tiers a mismatch for tiny teams.
Cons: SOC 2 Type II is on the roadmap rather than a completed audit, a material drawback for buyers with that assurance requirement.

Alternatives

Perceptyx is a paid option with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms; pricing is custom enterprise pricing, so consider it when those platforms and an enterprise consultation suit better than Harmny’s published tiers.
Qualtrics has a free plan for individuals: one user, three active surveys, and 500 total responses. Choose it when those survey limits fit the need better than Harmny’s HR-compliance focus.
Teleskope Affinities is a paid, enterprise ERG management product for Android, iOS, and web, with demo-based pricing; it is the more relevant direction for enterprise ERG management.
Cemantica offers a 21-day, no-card enterprise trial for up to five users, plus a Starter plan with 1 GB storage, shared cloud, and limited Alex AI queries. It may suit a short, small-team evaluation of that offering.
Gallup Access is a paid workplace subscription with Android, iOS, and web access; consider it when those platforms and Gallup’s subscription route fit your needs.
QuestionPro has a free Essentials plan with one user and 200 responses per survey, plus Advanced at 99.00 USD per month billed annually with 25K responses per user. It is a survey-oriented alternative when those response limits and pricing terms are a better fit.
Moodivation is another paid option available on web.
Culture Amp offers paid Perform and Engage plans with annual pricing based on employee count, product, and service tier; consider it when that quote-based structure fits better.

Verdict

Choose Harmny if you want I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy-signature workflows alongside a wider set of HR modules, with a free starting tier and clear paid capacity steps. Its main strengths are the combined workflows and the progression to API and enterprise controls. Look elsewhere if strict assurance requirements make an unfinished SOC 2 Type II audit unacceptable, or if you need only a specialist reporting tool and would not use the broader platform.
