Overview

The service says its index spans more than 50 million hashtags across 15 niches. Each tag receives a 0–100 difficulty score based on post volume and engagement concentration, while weekly growth rates flag tags gaining traction. These measures give creators more context than raw popularity alone, though they do not establish whether a tag fits a particular audience or post.

HashtagsForLikes combines discovery with public Instagram profile analysis and named campaign sets that can be saved and copied with one click. It also supports composing posts for Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, but publishing must happen in each platform’s native app. That makes it useful for preparation, not a substitute for a publishing workflow.

The company says it does not collect, access, or store Instagram or TikTok credentials, follower lists, private messages, or social content. It says it uses TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. Its privacy policy names Stripe, AWS, Postmark, and Mixpanel as service providers. Email support aims to respond within 24 hours.

Key features

Discovery and analysis

Difficulty scoring helps creators weigh competition, and weekly growth tracking adds a timing signal. Public-profile analysis can reveal tags used by an account’s top posts, making it relevant to creators researching competitors or looking for patterns in successful content. The service supports Instagram and TikTok research; it is not a broad social-listening platform.

Campaigns and AI

Campaign Manager keeps named hashtag sets ready for reuse, a practical convenience for recurring formats or campaigns. Pro adds AI-generated suggestions from a post description or uploaded image. That can speed up brainstorming, but the core research and saved-set workflow is available without it.

Scheduler and account access

The scheduler lets users compose for three networks, including Twitter, but leaves the final publishing step to their native apps. Creators seeking automatic cross-platform publishing should choose a different workflow. The stated boundary around social-account data is a plus for users wary of connecting credentials.

Pricing

HashtagsForLikes is freemium, with a 7-day trial and paid plans from $19/mo. Free is billed at $0/month and allows 10 hashtag searches per day, full results with difficulty scores, Instagram and TikTok support, copying all results, and five saved campaigns. It is a sensible starting point for occasional research, but the daily search cap and small campaign allowance constrain regular use.

Pro costs 19.00 USD per month, billed $19/month. It includes unlimited hashtag searches, advanced analytics and trends, difficulty and weekly growth scoring, unlimited saved campaigns, AI suggestions, priority support, and tracking for five profiles. This is the best fit for an individual creator who researches often or wants AI-assisted discovery; the profile limit matters for anyone monitoring several accounts.

Agency costs 49.00 USD per month, billed $49/month. It adds five team seats, unlimited profile tracking, white-label CSV reports, API access, and a dedicated account manager to Pro. Those additions suit agencies coordinating research and reporting across clients; solo users are unlikely to need the team and reporting provisions.

Subscriptions can be cancelled in account settings, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the billing period. Unused time is not prorated, so cancelling does not produce a partial-period refund.

Platforms

The service is available on web and through an API. Its research focuses on Instagram and TikTok, while the composing scheduler also supports Twitter. That distinction matters: support for composing on a network does not mean the tool publishes there.

Who it's for

HashtagsForLikes suits solo creators who want to compare tag competition, spot weekly growth, and reuse curated sets, as well as small agencies that need shared seats, exports, or API access. It is a weaker fit for creators who need direct publishing, broader social listening, or profile monitoring beyond Pro’s five-profile limit unless they move to Agency.

Pros and cons

Useful research signals: difficulty scores and weekly growth rates add competition and momentum context to hashtag selection.
Low-friction reuse: saved campaigns can be copied quickly, with five sets on Free and unlimited sets on Pro.
Credential boundary: the company says it does not access or store Instagram or TikTok credentials or private account data.
Publishing is incomplete: composing is supported, but posting requires each network’s native app.
Free use is capped: ten searches per day and five saved campaigns may be restrictive for frequent research.
Profile tracking is tiered: Pro covers five profiles; unlimited tracking requires Agency.
