Headliner
Headliner provides tools for making, editing, and promoting podcasts by turning audio into video and helping creators reach audiences. Its AI clipping and captioning tools can turn a full-length video into 10 or more social-ready clips. Transcription supports 100+ languages, and exports can include automatic captions. Podcast Promo Pack supplies episode art options, show notes and summaries with chapters, keywords and tags, references, and quotes. Headliner describes automatically posting exports to platforms such as YouTube through an RSS feed; its mobile app supports sharing to Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more. The Forever Free plan includes two hours per month for full-episode audio and video transcription and editing. Video clipping and captioning are free to use on any account while those tools are in beta. Basic costs $7.99 a year when billed annually or $9.99 a month when billed monthly. Pro costs $19.99 a year when billed annually or $25.99 a month when billed monthly. Headliner is available on Android, iOS, and web, with API options.
Podcli
Podcli is a command-line tool for turning podcast episodes and interviews into social clips. It handles transcription, clip selection, vertical reframing, captions, thumbnails and export, with face tracking, logo branding and output in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1 formats. Word-timed captions come in four styles, and transcription uses Whisper and pyannote for timestamps and speaker labels. The CLI performs transcription, clip selection, cropping and export locally, keeping video, transcripts, project files and finished clips on the device. Optional AI scoring or suggestions use an account and provider configured by the user; the maker says those calls do not pass through podcli.com. The tool runs on macOS with Apple Silicon, Linux on x64 or arm64, and Windows on x64. Its MCP server provides 26 tools for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or other MCP clients. Podcli is free: free, with no watermark or minute cap, and its source is published under GNU AGPL-3.0. Podcli Cloud is a separate remote-rendering service with pricing not yet announced.
