HitPaw FotorPea vs ON1 Photo RAW

HitPaw FotorPea combines AI image enhancement, photo restoration, editing, and generation. Its tools can upscale images, reduce noise, correct color, restore old photos, remove backgrounds, and edit objects. It also offers prompt-based editing, AI image generation, and chat-style canvas editing. Batch processing can enhance multiple images at once. FotorPea supports RAW photos and lists input formats including PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, TIF, TGA, BMP, JFIF, NEF, and RAW; listed output formats omit NEF and RAW. A seven-day free trial is offered for the desktop version, and there is no free plan. Listed prices include $27.99 a month for the 1 Month License, $112.99 a year for the 1 Year License, and $162.99 a month for the Perpetual License. Subscription credits expire at the end of their billing month or year and do not roll over. Windows and Mac licenses are platform-specific, and premium features cannot be shared across platforms. The Photoshop plugin has separate subscription and credit terms from FotorPea software.

ON1 Photo RAW is paid desktop software for photographers who want RAW processing, editing, organization and export in one application. It supports batch editing, layers, masking, AI retouching and cloud sync, and browses files where they are stored while providing tags, albums, stacking and AI keywording. Built-in AI tools include NoNoise AI, Resize AI, Generative Erase, Sky Swap AI, Restore AI and Brilliance AI. Super Select AI, subject and background masks and AI depth masks target specific areas. Optional connections are listed for Photoshop CC, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom Classic, Apple Photos and Affinity Photo; MAX adds Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom plugins. Restore AI uses cloud processing, and ON1 says submitted photos are not used to train models. The standard edition installs on two computers, MAX on three, and subscriptions on up to five, depending on plan. A 30-day trial is available, with no free plan.
