Overview

Hofmann combines photo-book creation with ordering printed photo products. Customers can work in a browser, use the mobile app, or download an offline editor for Mac or Windows. That choice suits people who want to assemble a project on different devices, while online account access makes saved browser projects available again later.

The online editor automatically saves a named project every two minutes and can flag issues such as blank pages or missing spine text before ordering. These checks help catch common oversights, but a final review remains worthwhile. Album customization includes layouts, text, backgrounds, masks, frames, and stickers.

Key features

Photo imports and editing

The app can import pictures from a device gallery, Google Photos, Facebook, Instagram, or Dropbox. That is useful for books drawing on several collections; customers who prefer not to edit on a phone can use the browser or desktop editor instead.

Formats and printing

Hofmann supports print ordering and PDF export, with automatic layouts as another way to arrange a book. The hardcover albums described here span 24–120 pages, but extra-page prices differ by album. This range accommodates both shorter keepsakes and longer collections, at a cost that can rise with page count.

Pricing

Hofmann is a paid service with a free plan; the named album products below are one-time purchases. Shipping is excluded from all four prices, and each album has its own extra-page charge.

Album	Price	Pages and extra pages
Álbum Apaisado S (Tapa dura 13 × 10 cm)	€13.99 one-time	24–120 pages; €0.87 per extra page
Álbum Apaisado M (Tapa dura 20 × 15 cm)	€29.99 one-time	24–120 pages; €0.98 per extra page
Álbum de Fotos Vertical Mediano - Tapa Dura	€29.99 one-time	24–120 pages; €0.98 per extra page
Álbum de Fotos del Año con Ventana	€48.99 one-time	24–120 pages; €1.29 per extra page

The Apaisado S is the least expensive named option, while the Año con Ventana costs more and charges the most per extra page. Compare the final page count and format rather than treating the starting price as the full cost. The free plan does not change the fact that these albums are paid products.

Platforms

Hofmann supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. The downloadable offline editor is available for Mac and Windows; browser editing and the mobile app provide alternatives when desktop installation is not suitable.

Who it's for

Hofmann describes photo books for weddings, trips, and moments with children. Its multiple editors and import sources are a good fit for customers gathering pictures from several places or returning to a project over time. Customers with a strict total budget should compare format, page count, and shipping before ordering.

Photo handling is part of the service: Hofmann says it processes photos uploaded through its website, downloaded editor, or mobile app to create personalized products. Its privacy policy identifies Storio group B.V. as controller unless another policy or applicable terms say otherwise, and lists Hofmann S.L.U. at Ciudad de Barcelona 18, Polígono Industrial Fuente del Jarro, 46988 Paterna, Valencia, Spain. The policy describes GDPR rights including access and rectification. The help center covers delivery, orders and payment, product creation, promotions, and accounts.

Pros and cons

Pros: Browser, mobile, and offline desktop editors accommodate different working preferences.
Pros: Imports from five named sources help bring together pictures stored across services.
Pros: Automatic saving and pre-order warnings can reduce the risk of losing work or overlooking blank pages and missing spine text.
Cons: Shipping is extra, and additional pages cost between €0.87 and €1.29 each across the named albums.
Cons: Album prices vary substantially by format, so the cheapest starting option may not suit a larger or differently shaped project.

Verdict

Hofmann is a strong fit for people making a personalized photo book who value editor choice, varied imports, and useful pre-order checks. Its main trade-off is cost uncertainty across formats: compare extra-page rates and shipping, and look elsewhere if a fixed all-in price is essential.
