Hofmann
Hofmann lets customers make personalized photo books and other photo products using an app, an offline desktop editor or an online editor. The app can import images from a device gallery, Google Photos, Facebook, Instagram or Dropbox. Album customization includes layouts, text, backgrounds, masks, frames and stickers. Online projects can be saved to an account, and a named project can be set to save automatically every two minutes. Before ordering, the online editor can flag issues such as blank pages or missing spine text. Listed hardcover albums range from 24 to 120 pages, with extra-page charges that vary by album. The Apaisado S hardcover album is listed at €13.99, paid once; extra pages cost 0.87 EUR each and shipping is excluded. Pixum
Pixum lets customers use their own pictures to create photo books and other photo products. Books can be designed online, in the Pixum app, or with Pixum Photo World software. Available formats include landscape, portrait, and square, with hardcover, softcover, and booklet choices. The app's MagicBooks feature can fill a book with selected photos and offer suggestions that users can customise. It also supports drag-and-drop layouts, text, clipart, background colours, and stickers. Photo World adds templates, maps, GPS routes, QR-linked video, and photo editing tools. Page capacity depends on the book: classic binding allows up to 202 pages, layflat up to 130, and the small square book up to 74. Listed UK options include a small square booklet for £9.95, a small landscape hardcover for £22.95, and larger books from £34.95 to £69.95; the examples are priced for 26 pages. Pixum says the inside pages of all its photo books are FSC-certified. It also states that uploaded images remain in a private gallery for 28 days and saved projects for up to 36 months.
