Overview

RedSeed combines support for managers’ coaching conversations with an ARC development cycle that assesses skills, recommends learning and coaching, then uses each cycle to inform the next. HR can see themes across teams without access to individual private coaching conversations. That separation makes the platform a better fit for organizations seeking development patterns than for employers looking for a view into each private conversation.

RedSeed says sensitive customer data is not sent to open AI models, and its AI does not rate a person’s potential, performance or worth. Its security measures include TLS 1.2 or above in transit, encryption at rest, tenant isolation and encrypted backups. It operates under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, with SOC 2 in progress. Founded in Christchurch in 2009, the company was co-founded by Anya Anderson.

Key features

Support around one-to-ones

Shared agendas, prompts and coaching tools help managers before, during and after one-to-one meetings. Archie AI can help prepare for coaching conversations, prompt reflection afterwards and surface relevant learning. This gives managers support tied to recurring people-management work, rather than separating development from the conversations where it matters. The Free plan’s limited Archie AI is a constrained introduction; Teams includes full Archie AI coaching.

Learning cycles and HR insight

The ARC cycle connects assessment, recommendations and subsequent learning cycles, giving development a recurring structure. HR’s view of patterns and themes across teams can help identify broader development needs, while the privacy boundary around individual conversations is a meaningful safeguard. Teams adds a baseline skill assessment, capability profiles, 180° feedback, an HR dashboard and reporting. These tools suit organizations that need more than a small-team learning allowance; Free’s one-month rolling data is a much narrower basis for tracking development over time.

Mobile and access

RedSeed Mobile is free to download for iPhone, iPad, Mac with Apple silicon, and Android phones and tablets, but it requires a RedSeed account. Meeting features and recording in the app depend on the organization turning them on, so mobile availability does not by itself guarantee those capabilities. Enterprise includes SSO; the mobile app also does not replace a plan or account.

Pricing

RedSeed’s plans are paid or free, with scope changing substantially between a small free allowance, manager-focused Teams and organization-level Enterprise. Guided onboarding and help-center access come with every plan.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Free	Free	You + 2 team members, all learning content, 1 month rolling data and limited Archie AI; sign-up coming soon.	A small group wanting to explore learning content, once sign-up opens. The three-person cap, short data window and limited AI make it unsuitable for sustained organization-wide tracking.
Teams	40.00 USD per month, billed per manager / month; team members $27 per person / month	Full Archie AI coaching, full data history, trends and analytics, baseline skill assessment, capability profiles and 180° feedback, plus HR dashboard and reporting. Priority support is included.	Teams investing in managers and needing ongoing coaching and HR reporting. It costs more than Free and charges separately for team members, but adds the history and analytics that support longer-term development.
Enterprise	18.20 USD per month, billed per person / month; starting rate, drops as numbers grow	For 20+ teams: cross-team rollups, board-ready exports, bespoke learning content, course authoring, SSO, a dedicated success partner and SLA.	Organizations with 20 or more teams needing cross-team visibility, custom content and enterprise support. Its per-person starting rate falls with scale, but the stated entry condition rules it out for smaller teams.

Free is not open for sign-up yet. The Enterprise rate is a starting rate that drops as numbers grow; unlike Teams’ manager-based charge and separately priced team members, it is billed per person. Enterprise also adds a dedicated success partner and SLA rather than Teams’ priority support.

Platforms

RedSeed supports Android, iOS, macOS and the web. The mobile app covers iPhone, iPad, Mac with Apple silicon, Android phones and tablets, and requires a RedSeed account. Meeting features and recording in that app are available only when an organization enables them.

Who it's for

RedSeed is for managers who want to improve their people-management skills and the HR teams supporting them. Teams is the more fitting choice when managers need full Archie AI, ongoing data history and organization-level reporting. Enterprise is aimed at organizations with 20+ teams that need cross-team rollups, board-ready exports, bespoke learning or course authoring. A small group interested mainly in learning content may prefer Free once sign-up becomes available; groups needing full coaching or durable analytics will outgrow its caps.

Pros and cons

Pro: Coaching, learning recommendations and recurring assessment are linked, making development a cycle rather than a one-off content assignment.
Pro: HR can see patterns across teams without seeing private coaching conversations, a useful boundary for organizations balancing insight with coaching privacy.
Pro: RedSeed states concrete AI and security safeguards, including limits on AI judgments and encryption in transit and at rest.
Con: Free is capped at You + 2 team members, one month of rolling data and limited Archie AI, and sign-up is coming soon rather than open now.
Con: Teams’ full coaching and analytics come with a manager-based monthly charge plus $27 per team member per month, which matters for organizations supporting larger groups.
Con: Enterprise is for 20+ teams, so smaller organizations cannot access its cross-team rollups, board-ready exports, bespoke learning and course authoring tier.
Con: SOC 2 is in progress, not completed.

Alternatives

For a directory of related products, see Employee Coaching Software. Consider these options when RedSeed’s manager-development model or plan structure does not fit:

Coaching Loft is a paid option with a free plan and free trial; its Basic plan is 1.00 USD per month when billed annually and covers 2 clients/coachees, 50 MB storage, base functionality, a public coach profile and Google Calendar sync. Choose it when that small client allowance and coach-facing tools better match the work than RedSeed’s manager-and-HR focus.
AceUp suits readers seeking enterprise coaching programs with pricing handled through a discovery call.
CoachHub is another paid digital coaching platform; choose it when a demo-request path for pricing suits your buying process.
Nadia offers enterprise pricing customized for an organization through a demo request, an option when that purchasing route is preferred.
Sharpist offers a custom organizational coaching program with a flexible credit model; consider it when a credit-based program is a better fit.
Korn Ferry Assess has pricing on request and no public plan limits stated; consider it when that assessment-oriented option warrants a pricing inquiry.
Sama is a paid option without a free plan, with a Starter plan described for small teams and a dedicated 1:1 coach; consider it when that coaching arrangement better suits a small team.
Relativ is a web-based paid option with a free trial and custom pricing; consider it when flexible, scalable pricing and feature expansion are the priority.

Verdict

Choose RedSeed if your organization wants to build managers’ people-management skills through supported one-to-ones, a repeating learning cycle and HR insight that protects private coaching conversations. Teams is the clearest fit for ongoing coaching and reporting; Enterprise makes sense for organizations with 20+ teams needing cross-team outputs and bespoke development. Look elsewhere if you need an open free sign-up today, if Free’s short data window is insufficient, or if the Enterprise threshold excludes your organization.
