In their own words
Humbot
Humbot is an AI study and writing assistant available on the web and through an API. Its tools include content humanization and rewriting, grammar and plagiarism checks, AI writing detection, summarization, ChatPDF, translation, citations, math solving, and quiz generation. ChatPDF can summarize PDFs and answer questions about them; the summarizer accepts videos, webpages, and long documents. Translation covers more than 100 languages, and the API humanizer supports more than 50. The citation generator offers more than 40 styles and can use titles, content, URLs, DOIs, and ISBNs. Humbot says its detector checks against services including Originality.ai, ZeroGPT, Turnitin, and GPTZero. A free plan and free trial are listed. Basic is $7.99 a year and Pro is $9.99 a year, both billed annually. API pricing begins at $30 a month; its listed monthly plan includes 50,000 words and a 2,000-word input limit. API use is suspended at the word limit until additional credits are purchased.
ScribeLens
ScribeLens analyzes writing for patterns associated with AI-generated text and explains its findings at sentence level. Each sentence receives a human-like, mixed, or AI-like classification, while flagged sentences include keywords describing the detected pattern. Users can paste text or upload PDF, DOCX, TXT, or Markdown files; extraction occurs in the browser. A scan handles up to 40,000 words. Guest checks work without an account, allowing 2,000 words per scan and 3,500 words daily. For academic documents, reference lists, citations, DOI and ISSN lines, publisher boilerplate, and declaration sections are excluded from scoring and displayed in reports. Reports export to PDF or DOCX. Verification links point to stored copies that expire after 180 days; otherwise, analysis remains in the browser session and clears when the tab closes. ScribeLens offers web and API access, with API keys required server-side. Its detection is probabilistic, does not identify a model or check plagiarism, and is not standalone proof. The Free plan is free with 35,000 monthly tokens and seven PDF exports; Pro is $9 a month, launching soon.
