In their own words

HYCU R-Cloud

HYCU R-Cloud provides data protection for workloads across on-premises environments, public clouds, and SaaS applications. HYCU says it covers more than 100 workloads, including AI systems, cloud environments, and SaaS applications. The platform offers agentless, application-consistent backups, one-click policy setup, and granular recovery. Backups can run multiple times daily, with item-level restores and ransomware protection. R-Cloud also supports agentless disaster recovery with failover to public cloud, on-demand migrations, and cross-platform data mobility. A single dashboard provides a view of the data estate and a place to manage protection policies; role-based access controls support administrators and users. Listed integrations include AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365, Atlassian Cloud, GitHub, Box, Salesforce, and Nutanix. HYCU says it does not store customer information and lists security certifications and assessments including SOC 2, ISO 27001:2022, and GDPR. The product is paid, has no free plan, and offers a 14-day trial. Some workload pricing is listed per user per month; other workloads require a quote.

KubeStash

KubeStash backs up and restores Kubernetes volumes, databases, and virtual machines running on Kubernetes across public and private clouds. It supports standalone PVCs and Kubernetes workload volumes, with database integrations including MariaDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Percona XtraDB, and etcd. Backup destinations include cloud object storage, REST servers, and Kubernetes persistent volumes. Kubernetes custom resources define backup targets and behaviors; backups can be scheduled or policy-based, with custom retention options. Recovery can be full, granular, or point-in-time, including across namespaces and clusters. KubeStash deduplicates data through content-defined chunking and uploads only modified blobs since the prior backup. The maker says data is encrypted with AES-256. Prometheus monitoring and Grafana dashboards provide operational metrics. The operator is installed with Helm on Kubernetes clusters, including EKS, GKE, AKS, and on-premises deployments. KubeStash is available on a free plan for supported Kubernetes engines, with a 30-day free license to try. Paid pricing is on request; monthly plans have a 30-day minimum term.
