In their own words
IFTTT
IFTTT connects apps, devices, and services using Applets that automate actions across two or more services. Its library includes over 1,000 apps, services, and devices, with examples such as Spotify, Evernote, Todoist, Google Sheets, Android, and Philips Hue. Basic automations can be set up without coding. The Free plan allows two Applets; Pro allows 20, and Pro+ allows unlimited Applets. Pro adds multi-action Applets and webhooks, while Pro+ includes queries, filter code, multiple accounts per service, and access to IFTTT's Platform. The iOS and Android apps offer mobile-exclusive services, notifications, widgets, and geofencing automations. Most connected services use OAuth for restricted access without sharing a password with IFTTT. Users can export data as a JSON file or delete their account in settings. Trigger checks, Applet runs, and errors are logged for seven days; activity feed information is stored for 30 days. Plans include free, Pro at $2.99 per month, and Pro+ at $8.99 per month; paid plans are billed annually and include a 7-day trial.
Make
Make is a visual platform for integrating apps and automating workflows. Its no-code builder uses drag-and-drop modules, and automations can also be created in code or from a prompt. Scenarios support conditional flow control, data manipulation, HTTP requests, webhooks, notes, and analytics. Make lists more than 3,000 pre-built apps and integrations, along with custom apps and connections to public APIs. AI options include agents, tools, Maia natural-language automation building, and more than 300 AI app integrations. Each scenario action consumes credits, with some AI-provider features using more. The Free plan costs nothing and includes up to 1,000 credits monthly, two active scenarios, and a 15-minute minimum scheduled-run interval; it has no time limit and requires no credit card. Core is listed at $9 a month. Android and iOS apps can monitor phone events and perform device actions. Make lists GDPR, SOC 3, and SOC 2 Type II compliance, encryption, and single sign-on. It was founded in 2015 and is part of Celonis.
