In their own words
IndieGala
IndieGala is a digital distribution platform and game development studio with a PC game store. The store offers sales, Steam keys, bundles, freebies, and giveaways; the company page says it has over 7,000 titles from indie and AAA publishers. A free plan is available, and independent developers have had access to its free distribution platform since 2019. For players, the beta GalaClient brings showcase and freebie library games together to discover and play. It can install and run owned games, organize and update the library, and launch installed single-player games offline. The client currently supports Windows, with Linux and macOS described as coming soon. Developers can use the galaK command-line tool to upload builds, compress and optimize folders for downloads, and manage update patches without integrating the tool into their apps. A game can have up to three depots, one for each of Windows, Linux, or macOS. The store accepts payment methods including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum. IndieGala says it collects account, purchase, usage, device, and browsing information.
Kinguin
Kinguin is a digital marketplace where buyers and sellers trade games and other digital products. Its listings include PC and console game keys, pre-orders, downloadable content, in-game items and currencies, software licenses, gift cards, subscriptions, hosting, wallets, and skins. Offer pages identify the platform, edition, activation method, seller, and regional restrictions. Products are unique keys redeemed on third-party platforms; Kinguin says it is not affiliated with those platforms unless an offer says otherwise. Buyers can access a digital assistant for activations and 24/7 chatbot support, with complex requests routed to the support team. Birdie lets buyers attach video evidence of activation issues to support tickets, and the Resolution Center can issue replacements or refunds. Kinguin Host provides game server, VPS, and web hosting. Its eCommerce API supports product imports and automated sales and key delivery, but access requires application and verification, two-factor authentication for client creation, and funds in a Kinguin eurBalance wallet before order dispatch. Subscription options include Noble's Tier at $3.59 a month, Knight's Tier at 17.95 USD per 6 months, and KING's Tier at $35.90 a year.
