In their own words
Revel
Revel is an open-source event management platform for communities, clubs, and independent venues. Organizers can offer free or paid tickets, create ticket tiers, reserve seats, and scan QR codes at entry. Custom questionnaires can screen attendees before an event address is revealed. Community functions include potluck coordination, memberships, class passes, and members-only events. Venue tools include a seat-map designer, zone pricing, and QR door scanning. Event listings, individual events, and event series can be embedded on external websites using a script, iframe, or oEmbed. Listed integrations include Stripe payments, Google OAuth, optional OpenAI questionnaire evaluation, Telegram notifications, and Apple Wallet downloads. Self-hosting is MIT-licensed, with Docker deployment and a REST API documented through OpenAPI. Self-hosting costs nothing; hosted processing charges 3% + €0.50 only when Revel processes a payment, while free events cost €0. User data is stored in Germany and not sold.
