IntegrationsInfluxDB connects to data sources through 400+ pre-built Telegraf plugins and has official client libraries including Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, and C#.The documentation says data ingestion currently supports FlatBuffers, Protocol Buffers, and InfluxDB protocols.
PerformanceInfluxDB 3 supports millions of writes per second, billions of series with no cardinality limits, and sub-10ms query response times. The maker says a single server could support more than one million write TPS.
SecurityInfluxData states that it is ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and SOC 2 certified, and that end-to-end encryption and granular access controls are available across managed and self-managed InfluxDB 3 products. The introduction lists self-governance and defensive capability against malicious users as features.
SupportInfluxDB 3 Core is community supported, while Enterprise and Cloud Dedicated include a technical support SLA.The product page links to GitHub channels for feature requests, bug reports, and questions.
Use casesInfluxData describes InfluxDB as supporting industrial operations, observability platforms, and AI applications that need real-time data. The documentation describes LinDB for IoT and IT operations monitoring, including metric storage and analysis for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and application layers.

In their own words

InfluxDB

InfluxDB 3 is a time series database and platform for high-frequency data recorded with timestamps. It supports native SQL and InfluxQL queries, plus a built-in Python processing engine. Data can enter through line protocol, an HTTP API, client libraries, Telegraf or the influxdb3 CLI. More than 400 pre-built Telegraf plugins and official libraries for Python, JavaScript, Go, Java and C# connect it to data sources. InfluxDB stores data as compressed Parquet files in object storage with S3 API compatibility. Deployment choices include open-source single-node Core, self-managed Enterprise, managed Cloud Serverless and Cloud Dedicated, and Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB. InfluxData describes uses in industrial operations, observability and AI applications needing real-time data. Core is intended for development, prototyping and edge deployments, but lacks high availability and enterprise security. Cloud Serverless has a free option with service quotas and no high availability, plus $250 free credit. Core has community support; Enterprise and Cloud Dedicated include a technical support SLA.

LinDB

LinDB is an open-source distributed time-series database for IoT and IT operations monitoring. It stores and analyzes metrics across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and application layers, using a schema-free model of metrics, tags and fields. LinQL provides SQL-like syntax for queries and cluster or database operations; data can be inserted and queried through an HTTP REST API, client connections and an admin console. Ingestion supports FlatBuffers, Protocol Buffers and InfluxDB protocols, with Go and Java client libraries listed. The system separates computation from storage and identifies ETCD as its only external dependency. It supports replicas, horizontal scaling, operation across multiple IDCs, and automatic minute, hour and day rollups. Deployment documentation covers standalone and cluster modes, with packages for Linux, Windows and macOS and a Docker guide for Linux. LinDB is free under Apache 2.0. Its data scope is limited to numeric time series with accuracy up to the second; it is not suited to text records or finer time precision.
