In their own words
InfluxDB
InfluxDB 3 is a time series database and platform for high-frequency data recorded with timestamps. It supports native SQL and InfluxQL queries, plus a built-in Python processing engine. Data can enter through line protocol, an HTTP API, client libraries, Telegraf or the influxdb3 CLI. More than 400 pre-built Telegraf plugins and official libraries for Python, JavaScript, Go, Java and C# connect it to data sources. InfluxDB stores data as compressed Parquet files in object storage with S3 API compatibility. Deployment choices include open-source single-node Core, self-managed Enterprise, managed Cloud Serverless and Cloud Dedicated, and Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB. InfluxData describes uses in industrial operations, observability and AI applications needing real-time data. Core is intended for development, prototyping and edge deployments, but lacks high availability and enterprise security. Cloud Serverless has a free option with service quotas and no high availability, plus $250 free credit. Core has community support; Enterprise and Cloud Dedicated include a technical support SLA.
TagoIO
TagoIO is a full-stack IoT cloud platform for connecting devices, storing and analyzing data, building dashboards, managing users, and deploying IoT applications. It supports more than 500 device types through Networks and Connectors. Network integrations receive device data, Connectors decode manufacturer payloads into standard variables, and device buckets store the results in time-series storage. Devices can also connect directly to the API over HTTPS or MQTT. Supported methods include LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, CAT-1, CAT-M, Sigfox, BLE, WiFi, HTTP, and satellite networks. Prepared integrations include services such as Helium, AWS IoT Core, Particle, and Generic HTTPS Endpoint; users can also create a custom Network Integration. TagoRUN offers a branded customer portal with a custom domain, authentication, permissions, and feature controls, and the mobile app is listed for Apple App Store and Google Play. The free plan includes 5 devices and 5 dashboards without a credit card. Paid plans start at $49/mo. TagoIO states that it is ISO 27001 certified, encrypts data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest using AES-256, and commits to 99.9% monthly uptime for eligible accounts.
