In their own words
InstallerClean
InstallerClean scans .msi and .msp files directly in C:\Windows\Installer to identify candidates for removal and reclaim disk space. It checks Windows Installer records and registry information, withholding files when those checks cannot establish that removal is safe. Users can move identified files to a chosen backup folder or delete them permanently. Downloads include portable, setup, and command-line builds; the setup option bundles the graphical interface and CLI. The command-line version supports scan, move, and delete operations for scripting and scheduled tasks, and reports exit codes and Windows Event Log events. InstallerClean is free and open source under Apache 2.0. It requires 64-bit Windows 10 version 1607 or later, or Windows 11, and administrator privileges. It does not scan subfolders or clean the WinSxS folder, and it has no background service, scheduled task, or automatic cleanup. Downloads are unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning; release pages provide SHA-256 hashes and VirusTotal scan results.
Uninstalr
Uninstalr is a Windows app for uninstalling software, with leftover scanning, forced removal and batch uninstall. Before removal begins, it shows paths that would be deleted and lets users exclude paths; the maker recommends reviewing them and creating a backup first. Its custom engine can continue an uninstall without further interaction once started. The app detects 16 listed types, including Microsoft Store apps, package-manager apps and games from several platforms. Users can search, sort and filter one installed-app list, and disk use is calculated in real time. Uninstalr also displays app country of origin; the maker says this feature works locally without sending data elsewhere. Portable and setup versions have the same functionality, and the download page lists Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7. The free plan is available for personal, business and client-computer use. Uninstalr Pro is $39 a month (billed One-time payment; 1 computer); the Pro and WinFindr Pro bundle is $56 a month (billed One-time payment; 1 computer).
