Overview

Instant Measure Reports provide roof area, pitch, waste factor, recommended squares and a 3D view in about five seconds. You can save reports in the dashboard or export them as PDFs for homeowners, making them useful for preparing and sharing estimates. Reports are available for any address in the USA.

Instant Roofer also covers estimates, CRM, scheduling, quoting and payments. Website tools—a roof calculator, contact form and online scheduler—can bring customer inquiries into the same workflow. The mobile app adds measurements, a pitch tool, and job photo and video capture with AI tagging. This breadth is valuable for contractors seeking linked sales and job tools, though businesses that only need measurements may not need the larger bundle.

Key features

Measurements: Unlimited basic measurements are free, but premium report details require Premium. A human-certified report costs $10 per report and is typically reviewed by trained analysts in about an hour; that offers analyst review when a basic result is not enough, at a per-address cost.
Contractor workflow: Estimate building, scheduling, invoicing and payments are included in the product’s scope. Website forms and scheduling tools can support customer intake, while the mobile app’s photo and video capture with AI tagging helps record job information.
Integrations and API: CRM integration is available through Zapier; payment processing includes QuickBooks sync and Stripe checkout. The API supplies AI and human-certified measurement reports for developers and roofing software platforms, making it relevant beyond contractor teams.
Payments and leads: Payment processing costs $4.99 per transaction, with no monthly processing fee. Roofing leads start at $30 per lead, so businesses should weigh those per-use costs against their expected volume.

Pricing

The freemium model lets contractors begin with unlimited basic measurements at no charge. That is a strong way to check roof dimensions without committing to a subscription, but premium report details require Premium. The free plan is not equivalent to unrestricted access to every report detail.

Free measurements: Free. Unlimited basic measurements; premium report details require Premium. Best for occasional measurement needs that do not depend on premium detail.
Human Certified Measure Report: 10.00 USD per once, billed per report. Trained analysts review the report, typically in about one hour. This is suited to jobs where analyst review is worth paying for individually.
AI Tool Bundle: 199.00 USD per month after a 7-day free trial. It includes unlimited measurements and unlimited staff, but requires one subscription per office location. It fits offices with recurring measurement needs; businesses with multiple locations should account for a separate subscription at each.
Instant AI Measure API: 321.00 USD per once, billed per address on a pay-as-you-go basis: $3 for 0–199 addresses/month, $2 for 200–999/month and $1 for 1,000+ addresses/month. Volume pricing makes it more suited to software providers or high-volume users than occasional callers.

Payment processing adds $4.99 per transaction, with no monthly processing fee. Roofing leads start at $30 per lead. Those charges are separate considerations for contractors using the payments or lead tools.

Platforms

Instant Roofer supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The mobile apps serve field use with measurement, pitch and job-capture tools; the website offers contractor tools and dashboard reports, while the API supports software integrations and custom roofing products.

Who it's for

Instant Roofer is a good fit for roofing contractors who want measurement, estimating and job workflows under one product, especially those able to start with basic reports and add paid options when needed. Its website intake tools and mobile job capture extend that fit to teams managing customer inquiries and field records. Developers, CRMs and estimating or inspection platforms can use the API for roofing measurements. It is less compelling for a contractor who only needs occasional measurements and does not need premium report detail or the other workflow tools.

The company directs customers to contact it for support. Its privacy policy says it uses commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information and does not sell personal information collected through its mobile apps. It also says it does not always verify contractors’ licensing, insurance or code compliance in every state, a relevant caveat for homeowners using the service to find a contractor.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited basic measurements at no charge make it possible to start without a subscription; reports include several estimating inputs and a 3D view in about five seconds.
Pros: The product combines contractor workflow tools with mobile job capture, website intake and an API, covering needs from field work to software integration.
Cons: Premium report details require Premium, so the free tier may not satisfy contractors who need fuller measurement information.
Cons: The $199 monthly bundle is per office location, and payment processing costs $4.99 per transaction; those terms can matter as a business adds locations or processes more payments.

Alternatives

Roofr is another freemium roofing option. Its free Starter plan includes $19 measurement reports delivered in 24 hours or less, one basic job board and 10 trial proposals, invoices and work orders; choose it if those stated limits and the included job board better match your starting needs.

Roof Manager offers a free trial with two full reports and CRM, invoicing and proposals, plus a $10 single report. Consider it if a small report allowance and those business tools are a better fit than Instant Roofer’s unlimited basic measurements.

HiveSuite is a paid option with a Solo plan at 34.99 GBP per month, including VAT, for one admin and two crew with all features. Its yearly option is £349 per year, inc. VAT. Choose it if that stated team allowance and billing structure suit your business.

Leap starts with an Essential plan at 79.00 USD per month on a one-year contract paid monthly, limited to one user and five digital signatures. It may suit a single-user operation that values those stated terms over Instant Roofer’s measurement-led free entry point.

Business Pilot has a Site License at 10.00 USD per month, with invoicing quarterly in advance. Its stated focus is service engineers and installers, so it is an alternative to consider for that audience.

JobNimbus is a paid alternative with Essentials and Premium plans; choose it if you want to compare its stated user and project-board limits.

ProLine has a free plan and a GOOD plan at 497.00 USD per month with three seats and 3k PRO Credits, alongside production management, quotes, payments and invoicing. It may suit teams prioritizing that stated production and sales tool set.

Centerpoint Connect is a paid alternative with a Scale It plan priced at $50 per field user and $100 per office user, plus a $7,499 one-time full implementation. Consider it if its stated sales, service and production scope fits your operation.

Roofing Software collects additional options to compare.

Verdict

Choose Instant Roofer if you want fast roof measurements with a free basic tier and the option to extend into contractor workflows or an API. Its strongest case is the combination of measurement, mobile, website and payment tools; look elsewhere if premium measurement detail is essential but the subscription and per-transaction costs do not suit your volume.
