Instructure Elevate K-12 Analytics vs SHIFT Performance Dashboards

Instructure Elevate K-12 Analytics combines education data to help teachers, administrators, and districts understand factors that affect student success. The hosted, vendor-managed web platform draws information from student information systems, assessment platforms, and Canvas LMS. Its pre-built structure supports longitudinal analysis without requiring a district to build and maintain a custom data warehouse. Users can explore, filter, and drill into interactive dashboards, charts, and visual indicators, compare schools, grades, and demographics, and create their own visualizations using predefined data relationships and aggregates. The platform helps education leaders track achievement and equity measures against district and state goals, and identify learning gaps to target support. Elevate Data Quality is a companion tool for checking the information used in dashboards. The product uses Ed-Fi technologies and received Ed-Fi badges. Instructure says its platform is hosted on AWS, stores data in a customer's region, and encrypts customer data in transit and at rest. It lists web access, custom dashboards, and API access.
