In their own words

Intel VTune Profiler

Intel VTune Profiler analyzes application and system performance to help locate bottlenecks in AI, HPC, cloud, IoT, media and storage workloads. It profiles CPUs, GPUs and NPUs, including through a unified XPU Offload Analysis view. Hotspot analysis finds time-consuming code, and Flame Graphs display hot code paths. Microarchitecture exploration identifies hardware performance issues, while memory analysis can reveal cache misses and bandwidth problems. Intel lists support for SYCL, C, C++, C#, Fortran, OpenCL, Python, Go, Java, .NET and Assembly, including mixed-language applications. The profiler is available as a standalone download or through the Intel oneAPI Toolkit, with integrations documented for Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse. The 2026.4 release is listed for 64-bit Windows and Linux hosts. Its Linux-only AI Assistant can run collections, report analyses and suggest bottleneck optimizations using the user’s own LLM access; Intel cautions that suggestions may be inaccurate. Some analyses need administrator or root privileges. The tool is free to download and use for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

TargetFPS

TargetFPS is a free web tool that recommends graphics settings for individual games based on a player's hardware and desired framerate. Enter a GPU, CPU, RAM, resolution, and target framerate to receive settings, estimated FPS, explanations, impact tags, and a callout of major performance gains. The optimizer starts from a high-quality preset and changes individual settings to meet the target, weighing visual quality against each setting's estimated FPS cost. The games directory covers 60 titles with per-setting recommendations, costs, expected results across five hardware tiers, and data-quality notes. Estimates use published benchmark points and interpolation for hardware without direct measurements. Some games use engine-family modelling instead, and the maker says those estimates have a wider confidence band. The optimizer considers DLSS, FSR, and XeSS as primary settings and treats frame generation separately, noting its latency trade-off. JavaScript is required for the interactive optimizer, while static game guides are available without it. The service is free, and optional contributions do not unlock features.
