In their own words

Iris.fm

Iris.fm records remote podcast interviews in a browser, capturing each participant locally and delivering separate audio and video files for editing. Live captions appear during a session and are saved with the recording, while progressive uploads back up the session as it proceeds. Guests join through a browser link without installing an app or creating an Iris account. Rooms support host, producer, and guest roles with device controls and up to nine people recording at once. The service supports desktop and laptop browsers as well as iPhone and Android, with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge listed. Users can create a branded studio with a custom URL. Paid plans include Google Drive and Dropbox uploads, and recording hours are counted by total session time rather than multiplied by participant count. Starter costs $9 a month and includes two recording hours; Pro costs $19 a month and includes five, while Studio costs $29 a month and includes ten. Iris operates its services in the United States, where information from users elsewhere is transferred, stored, and processed.

SquadCast

SquadCast is an in-browser cloud recording studio for audio and video content. It records locally and progressively uploads recordings to the cloud, where account holders can access them. The maker says uploads continuously save recordings and cloud backups are available if a primary file is lost. The FAQ lists audio at 48 kHz and 16-bit depth, and video up to 1080p at 30 fps; product information also lists maximum video quality of 4K. Sessions can include one host and up to nine guests, who can join without an account or software download. Supported browsers include current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, and Edge. Team workspaces, backstage participation, user roles, and access permissions support collaborative production. Listed integrations include the SquadCast API, Zapier, Descript, SavvyCal, Captivate, Camo, Dolby.io, Dropbox, and calendar integrations. Plans include Free, Hobbyist at $16.00 per month, Creator at $35.00 per month, and Business at $50.00 per month.
