In their own words
iSCRIM
iSCRIM is a web platform for creating and managing online tournaments across games. Hosts can configure events, manage participants, and record results, with formats including single and double elimination, 1v1 duel, battle royale, free for all, Swiss system, and round robin. The homepage lists a catalogue of more than 185 games and disciplines. Quick Play lets users create 1v1, single-elimination, or double-elimination tournaments without an account, but erases that data after 72 hours and does not retain player stats. The free plan includes registration, brackets, scores, announcements, and a host profile, with no tournament limit. Premium Player is $2 a month and Premium Host is $5 a month; subscriptions may recur monthly or annually based on selection and can be cancelled in account settings. Hosts, rather than iSCRIM, handle event rules, participant eligibility, prizes, and compliance with relevant laws and game rules. Users disputing a score can submit a screenshot for host review before the bracket advances.
PlayVS
PlayVS is a web platform for school esports competitions and gaming curriculum, serving middle- and high-school leagues in the United States and Canada. Schools can create and manage teams, review schedules, compete with multiple opponents, and track match statistics. Teams can compete on campus or virtually; the high-school league says travel is not required. Free-to-play scrimmages are available, and eligible schools can join Special Olympics Unified leagues at no cost. Paid competition access includes roster verification, flexible scheduling, scrimmage tools, playoffs, and real-time league support. PlayVS Recruit connects collegiate programs with verified high-school talent. Students aged 16 or older can create a profile at no cost, while recruiters can filter players by location, game, interests, rank, GPA, and graduation year, and review verified league statistics and outreach analytics. Competition fees vary in some state partner leagues, and partner associations may add fees. Fees are non-refundable if a school withdraws all its teams. Competition data, including athlete names and statistics, is public by default. Listed competition plans range from $395 a year for middle-school early bird access to $595 a year for standard high-school access.
