In their own words

iText pdfOptimizer

iText pdfOptimizer is a Java and .NET add-on for iText Core that optimizes PDFs for size or speed. It can compress embedded streams, merge duplicate fonts, subset fonts, convert document color space for printing, and produce an optimization report. Image handling covers JPEG, PNG, TIFF, JBIG2, and JPEG2000, with options to scale or compress images. Presets range from High, Mid, and Low to Lossless and Custom. Developers can process multiple PDFs in a batch; if optimization makes the resulting file or image larger, the operation can be reversed. Java distribution is through iText Artifactory, while .NET distribution is through Artifactory and NuGet. The iText Suite, which includes this closed-source add-on, is offered as a 30-day trial under a commercial license. The Java installation guide requires a commercial iText Core license before installing pdfOptimizer. iText also describes an AGPL licensing option, whose terms require disclosing the full application source code. Commercial support requires a valid support subscription; AGPL users can seek community support on Stack Overflow.
