In their own words
iTop Easy Desktop
iTop Easy Desktop is a Windows desktop manager for organizing icons and files in a customizable workspace. Its one-click organizer sorts icons into groups such as Documents, Images, Applications, and Folders, while a search bar finds files or folders by name. Folder Portal gives desktop access to a PC folder's contents, and Private Box password-protects selected photos, videos, and documents. The product also offers more than 23,000 high-definition live and static wallpapers, with 4K/8K video support. Its AI Assistant includes ChatAI, Search, and Screenshot tools; ChatAI supports chat, writing, translation, and summaries. Schedule can sync Google or Microsoft accounts with Google Calendar or Windows Calendar. The Screenshot feature captures the full screen, current window, or scrolling windows. The Free plan includes three boxes and limited wallpapers. Pro personalization for themes, the taskbar, Start Menu, desktop icons, and mouse is restricted to Pro accounts. The latest version requires Windows 10 or later on 64-bit systems; version 3 supports Windows 7 and Windows 8. iTop says the app runs locally and does not send files or data to its servers. A 30-day trial is listed.
Tabbles
Tabbles organizes files through tags that can be shared across local disks, network drives, and cloud-synced folders. It can tag any file type on any file system, storing tags in a database without changing file names or adding hidden files to disk. Rules can assign tags based on paths, names, content, types, or data-mining matches such as email addresses and social security numbers. Unified search covers file names, paths, tags, comments, and file content; comments on files, bookmarks, and emails are searchable too. Teams can share tags and manage users, groups, and granular permissions. Tabbles integrates with Windows Explorer context menus and overlay icons, and preserves tags when files are moved or renamed there. Other listed integrations include Outlook email tagging, a Chrome extension, a bookmarklet, and support for Google Drive, Dropbox, and SharePoint-synced folders. Plans include a free personal option and paid subscriptions, including team and hosted database options. Tabbles 6 is listed for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11; LAN mode requires Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008 or newer, with Azure SQL support.
