Overview

Sprad is a web-based platform that connects recruiting with employee development through shared talent profiles. It is best suited to teams that want hiring, referrals and employee growth in one system, rather than a standalone applicant tracker.

Its free hiring core covers roles, pipeline and search, but broader sourcing and AI-assisted actions bring membership fees or usage charges. That makes it approachable for basic recruiting, while teams expecting extensive automation should budget for the add-ons.

Key features

Shared Talent Base: People can keep living profiles current, and Sprad’s modules can read and enrich them. This gives recruiting and growth teams a common profile foundation, though its value depends on using both sides of the platform.
Atlas hiring: Atlas searches profiles, drafts outreach, screens applicants, conducts voice interviews and ranks candidates against role criteria. The breadth can reduce repetitive work, but screening and interviews are charged per action on the metered plans.
Employee growth: The Growth platform supports performance reviews, 360° feedback, 1:1 meetings, career paths, skills, surveys and OKR tracking. It is a meaningful extension for employers investing in development; recruiting teams that need only an ATS may find this scope unnecessary.
Human oversight and data control: Sprad says AI prepares, suggests and drafts, while people make decisions; it does not automate rejections. Ratings link to supporting evidence, and people can release profile data item by item and withdraw access.
Candidate communication: Referrals and screening can use WhatsApp, SMS and phone calls without requiring a login, app or email address. That can lower friction for candidates who do not want another account.
Integrations: Sprad names softgarden, Greenhouse, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Personio, HiBob, Lever, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, Teamtailor, Ashby, JOIN and d.vinci, with data flowing both ways. This is useful for teams keeping an existing HR or ATS system in place.
Security posture: Sprad says data is encrypted in transit and at rest on independently certified infrastructure hosted in the EU, and that it is designed for GDPR and EU AI Act requirements. It also says candidate data is not used to train AI models and it does not scrape or sell people’s data.

Pricing

Sprad uses a freemium model, with prices spanning free plans, per-use charges, monthly memberships and custom pricing. The free ATS Core plan is billed €0 forever and includes a career site and Google for Jobs, pipeline and candidate management, team, roles and analytics, plus an MCP / AI connection. The separate Atlas Hiring — Free forever plan is billed at 200 credits every month, with 300 in the first month, no card or term, and includes recruiting CRM and talent pool, unlimited roles and pipeline, plain-language search in its own base, a candidate portal and the whole team. That is a substantial starting point for small teams, but web-wide sourcing requires membership and AI actions draw on credits.

For teams paying by action, CV & skills screening is €0.10/screening, and AI voice interview is €6/interview. These let teams pay for specific assessment steps, but costs rise with volume. Active Sourcing starts at €300/mo for automated candidate sourcing, while Referral starts at €99/mo for employee referral workflows.

Living Talent Pool is billed free and includes living candidate profiles and talent-pool management. The Sprad HR platform + Atlas AI Agent adds talent management and the Atlas AI Agent for +€5/employee. The per-employee basis makes this more relevant to organizations adopting the wider HR platform, rather than recruiting teams seeking only a low-cost ATS.

Referrals Start, Referrals Core, Referrals Enterprise and Atlas Base Max have custom pricing. Start covers up to 300 employees and includes unlimited referrals, 10+ ATS integrations and email, Teams, WhatsApp, SMS and Slack. Core raises the employee ceiling to 1,000 and adds a dedicated account manager, three onboarding workshops and major ATS integrations. Enterprise includes unlimited employees and referrals, additional entities, advanced role and permission management, and enterprise onboarding. Atlas Base Max includes 65,000 credits on day one, monthly or quarterly credit packages, 30% off every credit, recruiter roles scoped per project, Talent Base Live for 500 profiles, a named contact and an onboarding workshop. Buyers should compare the custom package against their expected team size and credit use.

Sprad says expert coaching is included and customers can be live in under three hours; higher plans include named contacts or onboarding workshops. The free plans have no stated renewal charge, and Atlas Hiring specifies no card or term.

Platforms

Sprad runs on the web. Its messaging workflows also reach candidates through WhatsApp, SMS and phone calls without requiring a separate login, app or email address.

Who it's for

Sprad is aimed at recruiting teams, recruitment agencies, and companies running employee referrals or employee-growth programs. It is strongest for organizations that want hiring and development to share profile information and can make use of its integrations. A team seeking only free applicant tracking can start with the core, but a buyer who needs web-wide sourcing should account for the membership cost, while frequent AI screening or interviewing adds per-action spend.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free ATS Core plan includes unlimited roles, pipeline, pool and search, giving teams room to manage hiring without a role-count cap.
Pro: Shared profiles connect recruiting and employee-growth tools, with reviews, career paths, skills and OKRs alongside hiring workflows.
Pro: People retain control over profile-data release, and Sprad says AI does not make rejection decisions or train on candidate data.
Con: Searching across the web requires a membership, so the free core is not enough for teams that rely on external sourcing.
Con: Screening and voice interviews are charged per use, which can make costs less predictable as assessment volume grows.
Con: The platform’s breadth may be unnecessary for teams that want a focused ATS without employee development tools.

Alternatives

For teams comparing recruiting tools, AI Recruiting Assistants and Candidate Sourcing Software are useful category roundups; employers focused on referrals can start with Employee Referral Software.

HireMIQ is worth considering for teams that want a free plan with five job-description analyses a month, Boolean search, candidate scoring and outreach templates. Metaview may suit teams that prioritize sourced profiles and concurrent searches, with its Pro plan offering 200 profiles sourced per month and unlimited concurrent searches at $100 USD per month, billed monthly per user.

Hirin is another recruiting alternative. Pin is a fit to compare for a small, free starting point: its free plan has five contact lookup credits per week, one job position, one AI Agent and email-only sequences. Talview may suit buyers preferring unit-based pricing and the ability to choose individual features or bundles, with a typical minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates.

Avery is worth a look for teams that want free search across 125M+ vetted European profiles and ranked matches with explanations, but its free plan excludes outreach and contact details. Screened may fit teams wanting resume screening and phone interviews in a defined plan: Resumes costs $66 USD per month billed annually, with up to five jobs, 1,000 candidates a month and three team members. Adya Recruitment Agent is another paid option to compare.

Verdict

Choose Sprad if you want recruiting, referrals and employee growth built around shared profiles, and its integrations and free hiring core match your workflow. Its central trade-off is cost beyond basic recruiting: web-wide sourcing requires membership, and AI screening and interviews add usage charges. Teams that need only a narrow ATS or predictable all-in pricing should compare alternatives before committing.
