| Case management | Case management includes AML, fraud, and compliance streams, investigator dashboards, document versioning, automatic escalation, and audit trails. | The case system supports alert queues, assignment, investigation, evidence, deadlines, workflow roles and audit trails. |
| Deployment | Jube is containerized for Docker and Kubernetes, supports multi-tenancy, and can run on an organisation’s own infrastructure or cloud tenancy. | A Docker Compose stack runs the platform on one machine for evaluation, and production deployment guides cover Kubernetes on premises, EKS, GKE and AKS. |
| Detection | Its detection combines thresholds, velocity and aggregation checks, sanctions screening, and supervised and unsupervised machine learning. | Rules evaluate current transaction data and historical participant behavior, then combine results into typologies with configurable thresholds. |
| Integrations | The product page lists PostgreSQL for durable storage and audit logs, Redis for real-time state, and RabbitMQ via AMQP for inbound and outbound events. | The platform connects to REST APIs, message queues, external case systems and real-time alert routes. |
| Intended users | The maker describes Jube as intended for compliance teams, financial institutions, fintechs, and organisations adopting it for AML or fraud detection. | Tazama identifies central banks, payment services advisors, banks, government agencies and financial institutions as target customers. |
| License | The site says Jube is fully open source under AGPLv3 and that all features are available. | Tazama repositories identify the Apache License 2.0. |
| Purpose | Jube is an open-source platform for real-time suspicious-transaction detection, AML case management, and fraud prevention. | Tazama is an open-source, real-time transaction-monitoring platform for detecting fraud and associated money-laundering typologies. |
| Support | Support is async-first over WhatsApp, with Loom video and documentation responses tracked against a permanent record. | Users can seek help through community Slack, GitHub issues, user manuals and implementation partners offering delivery and support contracts. |

In their own words
Jube
Jube is a free, open-source platform for real-time suspicious-transaction detection, AML case management, and fraud prevention. Its monitoring combines threshold, velocity, and aggregation checks with sanctions screening, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, TTL counters, and suppression. Interfaces support synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid operation over HTTP and AMQP. Redis stores real-time state, PostgreSQL provides durable storage and audit logs, and RabbitMQ handles inbound and outbound events. Case management covers AML, fraud, and compliance streams, with investigator dashboards, document versioning, escalation, and audit trails. Jube says Bayesian Network and decision-tree outputs can be explained to regulators and describes calibration against BASEL practice. The software runs in Docker and Kubernetes, supports multiple tenants, and can be deployed on customer infrastructure or cloud tenancy. Jube is available under AGPLv3 with all features. Support and training are separately priced, including sandbox, growth, scale, enterprise, and training options.
Tazama
Tazama is an open-source platform for monitoring transactions in real time for fraud and money-laundering typologies. It evaluates current transaction information together with historical participant behavior, applies configurable rules and thresholds, and can block high-risk payments or send alerts for investigation. Rule Studio gives analysts visual rule building, transaction replay, and review before deployment. Connection Studio and DEMS map and ingest message formats, including ISO 20022 payment messages. Investigators manage alerts through triage, assignment, investigation, filing, and closure in a case system that records decisions. BIAR combines detection and case results in a lakehouse with dashboards and calibration notebooks. Studio changes, case actions, triage decisions, and workflow transitions are audited. Docker Compose supports evaluation on one machine; production guides cover on-premises Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, and AKS. The software has no license charge, but hosting, implementation, and support require resources.
