In their own words

Ka-Block!

Ka-Block! is a free Safari browser extension for blocking a curated selection of advertisements and trackers. It is available as an extension and on iOS and macOS, covering desktop and mobile devices while supporting only Safari. The project says blocking third-party scripts can reduce page-load time, data use and battery drain. Its filtering code makes zero network connections, and the extension does not access pages loaded by the browser. Apple’s listing reports that the developer says the app collects no data. Ka-Block! aims to block most ads and trackers without slowing pages, while acknowledging that some advertisements may remain. The blocked-domain list changes only when a new extension version is released, and custom filter lists are not supported. The project is open source under the MIT license. The listed plans cost nothing. iOS requires version 12.0 or later, and the listed App Store version is 3.5 from November 6, 2021.
