Kaleris Yard and Transload Management vs Trimble Real-Time Yard Management

Kaleris Yard and Transload Management (YTM) is a cloud-based application for visibility into rail yard processes, automating work, and coordinating people and resources. It is intended for liquid and dry bulk shippers and receivers managing operations and inventory at production plants, terminals, and transload facilities. Core workflows include rail rack scheduling, validations, outage and volume correction calculations, and a graphical yard view.

YTM integrates with ERP systems, AEI readers, scales, and rail carriers to handle orders, shipment records, railcar movements, weights, and load information. It can automate inbound and outbound movements, create load and unload actions, and bill railcars. Liquid bulk functions include configurable inspections, seal and defect tracking, and loading calculations using outage and volume correction factors. YTM Mobile runs on iOS and Android tablets, supports online and offline yard operations, and syncs collected data with the desktop application. Mobile tasks include inventory management, switch requests, railcar scanning, photo inspections, seal-data capture, and VCF calculations. Kaleris says its SOC reports cover customer data availability, confidentiality, and security, and that it supports customers on GDPR compliance. Pricing is available on request.
