In their own words
Kameleo
Kameleo is an anti-detect browser for web scraping, browser automation, and managing multiple accounts. Its Chroma and Junglefox browsers mask fingerprints for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari profiles, and desktop use can emulate Android and iOS browser behavior. Automation can run through Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright scripts, or through a Local API with Python, JavaScript, and C# SDKs. Profiles can use HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, and SSH proxies. Local profiles are unlimited; the Free plan includes 100 cloud profiles, while paid plans include at least 5,000. Paid plans also include unlimited team seats and role-based access for cloud profiles. Official Docker images are available for Linux and Windows containers. The Free plan is €0.00 per free and includes two concurrent browsers, 300 minutes of browser usage, two emulated mobile browsers, and three team members. Startup (annual) is €45.00 per year; Startup (monthly) is €59.00 per month.
WebdriverIO
WebdriverIO is a free, open-source automation test framework for Node.js that covers browsers, mobile devices, and native desktop apps. It supports end-to-end tests as well as unit or component tests in real browsers and on mobile devices, using WebDriver and WebDriver BiDi. Through Appium, it can test native and hybrid mobile apps on emulators, simulators, or real devices, and also supports smart TVs and other IoT devices. It automatically waits for elements to appear before interacting with them.
The test runner includes Mocha, Jasmine, and Cucumber.js support; the browser runner provides component-testing presets for Vue, Svelte, Solid, React, Preact, and Stencil. The CLI lists integrations including Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, TestingBot, Appium, LambdaTest, and Docker. WebdriverIO can automate native desktop apps, including Electron.js apps, and describes a Lighthouse service for PWA checks and frontend performance metrics. It requires Node.js 18.20.0 or higher. Its security guidance recommends secure handling of keys and passwords and masking sensitive values, but warns that Appium plugins or cloud-provider logging proxies may expose values despite masking.
