Kaspersky Research Sandbox
Kaspersky Research Sandbox analyzes suspicious objects to investigate their origins, collect behavior-based indicators of compromise, and detect previously unseen malicious objects. It is intended for security teams and threat researchers, with cloud and on-premise deployment options, including secure air-gapped environments. Its behavioral analysis uses extended logging and detailed reporting to expose file activity, while Kaspersky malware behavior knowledge is used to help keep the sandbox environment undetected. Teams can tailor guest operating system images to resemble their environments. Version 3.0 adds VNC interaction, allowing analysts to interact with a sample while it runs, and incorporates Microsoft AMSI output to improve detection of packed or obfuscated scripts, including PowerShell activity. Static analysis examines strings, headers, sections, import and export tables, and entropy graphs; it can analyze operating systems such as macOS that are not supported for dynamic analysis. An API accepts suspicious files and can export results to a SOC task management system. Integration with Kaspersky Private Security Network is also available. Pricing is on request, and there is no free plan.
Malwagon
Malwagon is a cloud-based malware analysis sandbox that examines files, URLs, commands, documents, packages, hashes and Windows kernel drivers in isolated virtual machines. It returns scored verdicts with evidence. Static analysis includes YARA, capability identification, obfuscated-string recovery, packer and entropy checks, signature scanning, disassembly, secrets scanning and configuration extraction. Dynamic analysis records ETW kernel telemetry, memory forensics, hypervisor introspection, network traffic and JA3/JA4 fingerprints. Reports can include MITRE ATT&CK mappings and generated YARA, Sigma and Suricata rules, with exports including ATT&CK Navigator, STIX 2.1, MISP, PDF and DOCX. Accepted executables and archives can be up to 128 MB. Each run uses its own full virtual machine, discarded afterward. Samples stay on Malwagon-operated infrastructure; third parties receive hashes and derived indicators for reputation lookups. Free-tier reports are public, while paid plans can keep scans private. Pro costs $79 a month, billed $790/yr billed yearly, and includes 200 scan credits per month, private reports, REST API and MCP access.
