Overview

Kickresume is a resume and cover-letter service that also offers ATS checking and career guidance. It is best suited to job seekers who want to build application documents and refine them in one place. The free tier is a credible starting point, but applicants who want the broader toolset and template library will need Premium.

Key features

Documents and writing

The AI Writer drafts a resume from a job title and the job ad being answered, giving applicants a tailored first draft rather than a blank page. Resume and matching cover-letter templates support the rest of the process. Free users get four basic templates in each category; Premium raises that to 40-plus each and adds seven personal website templates. The free selection is workable for a simple application, but design-conscious applicants may find it restrictive.

ATS and career guidance

The ATS Resume Checker helps optimize a resume for applicant tracking systems and compares it with successful resumes in Kickresume’s database. Career Map scans a resume and recommends paths based on the user’s skills and experience. These features make Kickresume more than a document formatter, particularly for applicants who want feedback or help thinking through their next move.

Import, export, and privacy

Premium includes LinkedIn and PDF import. Free includes unlimited downloads, with PDF, Word text export, email, Dropbox, and Google Drive options. Documents can also be saved to Dropbox or Google Drive. Kickresume says it does not share user data with third parties without permission. It is based in the EU, hosts data in the European Union, and cites GDPR protections; it also says an unnamed IT security company regularly penetration-tests its infrastructure.

Pricing

Kickresume is freemium, with no free trial. Free is free and includes four basic resume templates, four matching cover-letter templates, one basic website template, 20,000 pre-written phrases, 1,500-plus resume examples, and unlimited downloads. That is a useful option for applicants who need documents without paying, though it omits the larger Premium library and its listed career tools.

Premium monthly costs 24.00 USD per month, billed monthly. The quarterly plan is 18.00 USD per month, with $54 paid every 3 months. The yearly plan is 8.00 USD per month, with $96 paid every 12 months. Each includes 40-plus resume and cover-letter templates and seven website templates. The euro-priced plans likewise cost 24.00 EUR per month, 18.00 EUR per month billed as €54 every 3 months, or 8.00 EUR per year billed as €96 every 12 months. Their stated inclusions are AI Writer, ATS Resume Checker, Career Map, LinkedIn and PDF import, iOS and Android, seven personal website templates, and priority email and chat support, alongside the larger template sets. The annual option lowers the monthly equivalent but requires paying for a full year upfront; monthly billing costs more and avoids that commitment.

Grammar Correction is a separate 30.00 USD per once purchase, billed at $30 per resume. Professional proofreaders correct typos, grammar, and word order, with the work ready in two work days or less. Students and teachers can get Premium free after verifying status with ISIC, ITIC, or UNiDAYS.

Platforms

Kickresume runs on the web and has iOS and Android apps. The mobile builder syncs documents with desktop through the cloud, while the listed Premium plans include mobile access.

Who it's for

Kickresume suits job seekers who want resume and cover-letter creation, ATS-oriented feedback, and career suggestions in one service. Its free plan works for applicants content with four basic templates per document type and unlimited downloads. Premium is a better fit for people who want more design choices, imports, mobile access, and priority support. It is less compelling for someone who needs only a broader template choice but does not want the annual plan’s upfront payment.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited downloads on Free make it practical to produce and share documents without a paid subscription.
Pro: AI drafting, ATS checking, and career mapping cover more of the job-search process than document design alone.
Pro: Premium adds LinkedIn and PDF import, mobile apps, and priority email and chat support.
Con: Free users have only four resume and four cover-letter templates, a narrow choice for applicants who care about presentation.
Con: The cheapest monthly equivalent requires a $96 annual payment upfront; monthly Premium costs 24.00 USD per month.

Alternatives

For a one-time ATS report rather than a full document-building subscription, GoodSpace offers three full reports for 99.00 INR per once. MyCoverLetters is a focused option for applicants who want AI-generated cover letters, application tracking, and a free allowance of three letters with PDF and DOCX downloads. Rezi is worth comparing for its free plan, which includes one resume, one AI interview, three PDF downloads, and standard-format templates.

For other options, compare OphyAI, Resume.co, AI Job Agent, Teal, and Cover Letter Copilot.

Verdict

Choose Kickresume if you want resume and cover-letter creation backed by AI drafting, ATS feedback, and career suggestions, with a free plan that still allows unlimited downloads. Look elsewhere if four free templates are too limiting and you do not want to pay Premium’s higher monthly price or commit to its annual billing for the lowest monthly rate.
