| API | The API offers Photo Scan, Featureless Scan, and 3DGS Scan, with each API call costing one credit regardless of scan method. | The public API is documented as OpenAPI 2.0 and uses basic authentication terminology with token-based examples. |
| API authentication | Developers create API keys and send the key in the Authorization header. | Clients obtain a token from /api/token-auth/ and send it in an Authorization JWT header; tokens expire after six hours by default. |
| Support | The site provides contact by email at [email protected] and directs users to its developer Discord and feedback form. | Users can get help through independent WebODM communities, documentation and the community help forum. |
| What it does | KIRI Engine creates colored 3D assets from photographs, video and LiDAR using photogrammetry and machine learning. | WebODM converts aerial photographs or videos into georeferenced orthophotos, elevation models, point clouds, textured 3D models and Gaussian splats. |

In their own words
KIRI Engine
KIRI Engine is a 3D scanning application that creates models and visualizations using photogrammetry, Neural Surface Reconstruction, and 3D Gaussian Splatting. Photo Scan creates 3D models from photos. LiDAR Scan supports model scans, floor plans, and quick scene visualizations on LiDAR-equipped iOS devices, while Featureless Object Scan is designed for shiny, reflective, transparent, and low-texture objects. The free Basic plan costs nothing and permits up to 150 photos and 2 GB per scan, with unlimited scans and free exports. Pro costs $17.99 a month or $79.99 a year, and raises the limits to 500 photos and 5 GB per scan while adding faster queue processing and advanced scanning and modeling features. The API offers Photo Scan, Featureless Scan, and 3DGS Scan; each API call uses one credit. Credits cost 1.00 USD each, with a 500-credit minimum recharge and 10 free test credits at sign-up. Other listed tools include a website model embedder, a UE5 plug-in, and STL export. Uploaded photos and videos are processed on cloud servers, and local PC scanning is not on the company's roadmap at the moment.
WebODM
WebODM turns aerial images into georeferenced maps, point clouds, digital elevation models, textured 3D models, and Gaussian splats. It accepts photos or videos from any drone, including JPG, TIFF, video files, and multispectral imagery, and can run on a user's computer while offline. Exports include GeoTIFF, PNG, LAS/LAZ, OBJ, and OGC 3D Tiles. Mapping tools cover measurements, plant-health indexes, ground-control points, elevation contours, rolling-shutter correction, and sharing links. WebODM uses ODX, a free, open-source photogrammetry engine that developers can run from the command line or integrate into software. It can also connect to processing nodes that speak the NodeODX API. The API uses token authentication through the /api/token-auth/ endpoint, with tokens expiring after six hours by default. Model-level and row-level permissions govern whether users can view, add, edit, or delete objects. WebODM is free to install and use locally; optional cloud plans are listed at $24 a month billed yearly for Starter, $35 a month billed yearly for Pro, and $99 a month billed yearly for Business. Minimum requirements are 8 GB RAM and 20 GB disk space; larger datasets have higher recommended requirements.
