In their own words
KitchUp
KitchUp is an iOS cooking companion that combines recipe management, meal planning, grocery lists and nutrition tracking. It imports recipes from websites, photos, pasted text, audio and PDFs, then uses AI to extract details. Step-by-step cooking mode includes timers and ingredient substitutions. The weekly calendar supports recurring meals, voice logging, daily nutrition summaries and transfer to the nutrition tracker. Grocery lists can be generated from recipes and meal plans, with ingredients combined and sorted by aisle and store; KitchUp says it supports 2,000 grocers worldwide. Nutrition features include calorie and macro targets, label and barcode scanning, water logging, activity reports and Apple Health sync. It supports over 44 languages. Up to six people can share a recipe library, meal plan and grocery list, while keeping nutrition goals private. Core features are free with ads. Monthly Pro is $5.99 a month; annual Pro is $39.99 a year. Family plans cost $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year. Pro has a free seven-day trial. AI nutrition information is approximate, and allergen detection may be unreliable.
Pantryfy
Pantryfy connects household pantry tracking, recipes, meal planning, and shopping lists in an app for Android, iOS, and the web. Pantry items can be added by barcode, reviewed receipt photo, or plain language, with expiry warnings. Recipes can be imported from URLs, pasted text, or reviewed cookbook-page photos. Dinner suggestions are ranked by how much of each recipe the household already owns, and shopping lists can be built from a weekly plan and grouped by store route. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 50 pantry items, 25 recipes, 10 AI requests per day, 10 lifetime image parses, and 25 lifetime barcode scans. Video imports from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are available, with three daily imports on Free. Autopilot can draft weekly plans, which users review or approve before application. Nutrition details reflect available ingredient data; known allergen conflicts are filtered where data allows, but users are advised to check labels and cross-contact themselves.
