Overview

Kleervox uses neural noise cancellation to separate speech from sounds such as keyboards, traffic, fans and nearby chatter. Its echo cancellation aims to stop a caller’s voice coming back from speakers into the microphone. Because it appears as a regular virtual microphone, it works with apps that let users choose a microphone, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Slack and OBS. That broad compatibility is useful for people who switch between calls and streaming rather than relying on a single meeting app.

Both cancellation processes run on-device. The maker says microphone audio, recordings and cleaned output are never uploaded, stored or inspected. That is a clear privacy advantage for the audio itself, but it does not mean the account is free of data collection: the privacy policy covers Google sign-in details, usage metrics, installer activity, account state, sign-in history, website and demo analytics, and limited billing data. Stripe processes subscription payments, and the maker says it does not store full card numbers.

Key features

Neural noise cancellation: Targets everyday background sounds while separating them from speech. It is the central benefit for people taking calls in noisy homes, offices or shared spaces.
Acoustic echo cancellation: Reduces speaker-to-microphone leakage, which can prevent other people on a call from hearing their own voices returned.
Virtual microphone: Provides a cleaned microphone input to compatible apps. That makes the processing useful beyond meetings, including in OBS, but apps must support choosing a microphone.
Recording and streaming support: Kleervox supports both, so its role is not limited to live calls.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes neural noise cancellation, acoustic echo cancellation and a virtual microphone for every call app, with one hour of cleaning per day. Once that allowance is used, the microphone continues without cancellation until the limit resets at local midnight. That is a practical option for occasional calls, but not a dependable all-day allowance for frequent meetings or long streams.

Pro has custom pricing and is billed monthly in advance, recurring until cancelled. It removes the daily cleaning cap and includes priority updates. New accounts receive a free seven-day Pro trial after their first successful desktop use, with no card required. Users can cancel or downgrade from the dashboard; Pro remains active through the paid period before reverting to Free. The monthly commitment and recurring renewal matter for anyone who subscribes, while the no-card trial makes trying the unlimited allowance lower-risk.

Platforms

Public desktop downloads are available for Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux; macOS is described as coming soon. Linux creates the virtual microphone automatically. Windows setup requires installing VB-Audio’s free VB-CABLE, adding a separate step that may be a drawback for users seeking a simpler installation. Web is also included among the platforms, though the desktop downloads are the stated route for the supported systems.

Who it's for

Kleervox fits people who want real-time microphone cleanup across multiple call or streaming apps and prefer audio processing to remain on their device. Linux users get automatic virtual-microphone setup; Windows users can use it if they are comfortable installing VB-CABLE. The one-hour daily free limit suits shorter or occasional use. People who need uncapped daily cancellation should consider Pro, while those who want macOS support now or do not want an extra Windows audio-cable setup should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Noise and echo cancellation run on-device, and the maker says microphone audio and cleaned output are not uploaded, stored or inspected.
Pro: A single virtual microphone can serve compatible call and streaming apps, rather than limiting cleanup to one meeting service.
Pro: Free includes both forms of cancellation and one hour of daily cleaning; the seven-day Pro trial requires no card.
Con: Free stops applying cancellation after one hour each day, which can interrupt longer or repeated sessions.
Con: Windows users must install VB-CABLE to complete microphone setup.
Con: The account privacy policy covers several categories of usage, sign-in, installer and analytics data, despite the on-device audio processing.
