In their own words
Knit
Knit brings together a Unified API, an Integrations Agent, and MCP servers for building software integrations and workflows. The Unified API provides normalized data models, read and write access, and two-way syncs across product integrations. The Integrations Agent converts natural-language workflow descriptions into custom integration code that can be deployed and monitored. Knit’s MCP servers offer AI agents managed-auth access to more than 190 apps without customer-managed infrastructure. Its directory lists 194 integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Workday, BambooHR, Asana, Gmail, and Jira. The service supports Android, iOS, web, and API use. Knit says it does not keep end-user data on its servers, encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and complies with SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001. Data processing residency is available in the US, EU, and India. There is a free plan and a 30-day trial; paid plans include Starter at $29 a month and Professional at $99 a month.
MX
MX provides financial data and banking tools for financial institutions and fintechs. It lets consumers bring accounts together for viewing, while providers can use permission-based access to support digital experiences. Its APIs cover account linking, account and identity verification, balance checks, and data sharing. MX says direct OAuth connections can validate accounts in less than five seconds; its data access platform is built on FDX standards. Transaction details can be standardized and categorized, and external brokerage and retirement accounts can be combined with other financial data. Supported data includes accounts, balances, transactions, investments, statements, identity, ownership, and rewards. Connections include OAuth APIs, tokenized and direct connections, whitelisted screen scraping, and microdeposits, with real-time refresh and PDF statements. MX also offers mobile banking software and a mobile SDK for approved third parties or contracted customers. It lists Android, iOS, web, and API platforms. A free account is free for 100 users; MX Platform pricing is available by demo request.
