Overview

The service covers income, expenses, budgets, bills, debt, investments, net worth, credit scores and receipts. It connects to more than 20,000 financial institutions, and also describes connections through multiple data providers covering 13,000-plus institutions. That reach could help users with accounts spread across providers, though the two figures describe distinct connectivity claims.

Alerts and reminders address bills, fees, low balances and suspicious transactions. Dashboard sharing supports use with a spouse, financial coach, advisor or CPA, while access to more than 500 financial calculators adds reference material beyond day-to-day tracking. The combination makes MoneyPatrol more useful as a broad financial dashboard than as a narrowly focused budgeting app.

Key features

Tracking and reports: Income, spending, bills, debt, investments, net worth, credit scores and receipts sit alongside budgets and reports. This breadth suits people who want an overview across several financial areas; readers seeking only a simple monthly budget may not need so many categories.
Connected accounts and alerts: Linked accounts feed into tracking, and alerts cover financial activity, bills, fees, low balances and suspicious transactions. This is useful for monitoring multiple accounts, though paid plans vary in the number of data aggregators included.
Shared dashboards: Users can share dashboards with spouses and financial professionals, which can support household review or outside guidance without limiting the service to individual use.
Plan integrations and retention: Paid tiers include Excel, Google Sheets, Zillow Zestimate and data aggregators, with the mix varying by plan. Retention ranges from six months to two years or forever; Power also adds daily backup of all data and priority support. Those distinctions matter most to users who need historical records or additional safeguards.

Pricing

MoneyPatrol is freemium: its free plan has no fees, and every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Monthly prices are $3.99, $6.99 and $9.99 for Essential, Premier and Power respectively; the plans also have annual pricing, and a discounted lifetime option is offered for a one-time payment.

Forever Free — free: Core tracking and dashboard tools include income and expense tracking, transaction alerts, linked accounts, net worth and bill reminders. The broader free-tier feature set also includes credit reports, receipts, reports and calculators. It is a substantial option for users who can work within the free plan’s retention and connection limits.
Essential — $19.99 USD per year: Includes free features and two data aggregators, with a 15-day trial. This is the entry paid tier for users who need a paid-plan connection option but do not need the larger aggregator counts in higher tiers.
Premier — $39.99 USD per year: Includes three data aggregators. It is displayed as $72 annual with $32 savings, making it a middle tier for users who need more connections than Essential provides.
Power — $69.99 USD per year: Includes five data aggregators, daily backup of all data and priority support. It is the strongest fit for users who value those additions and longer retention, rather than those satisfied with core tracking.
Power Lifetime — $299.99 USD per once: A limited-time offer billed once for lifetime use. It avoids recurring payments, but the upfront cost is best suited to someone committed to staying with the service.

Annual paid pricing is presented alongside monthly options; the annual plan figures are the clearest stated totals. Retention varies by plan, so buyers should weigh the historical data they need against the price and aggregator allowance.

Platforms

MoneyPatrol offers apps for Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as Android and iOS through the Play Store and App Store. That spread accommodates desktop-first users and people who want mobile access, without confining the service to a browser.

Who it's for

Choose MoneyPatrol if you want account-linked tracking that spans budgets, bills, investments and net worth, particularly if dashboard sharing or broad desktop support matters. The free tier makes it reasonable to start without a subscription. It is less compelling for someone who needs no more than a basic budget, or whose decision depends on plan-specific retention or integrations matching a particular workflow.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan covers a wide range of tracking, alerts, linked accounts, reports and calculators, so the entry point is useful without a paid commitment.
Pro: Windows, Mac and Linux apps accompany mobile apps, making the platform choice broader than mobile-only finance tools.
Pro: Power pairs five aggregators with daily backup and priority support for users who need those extras.
Con: Aggregator counts and retention differ by plan, so users needing specific connections or a long financial history must choose carefully.
Con: The lifetime option requires $299.99 USD upfront, which is a substantial commitment compared with the free tier or monthly plans.
