In their own words
Laby Skin Studio
Laby Skin Studio is a browser editor for building Minecraft skins pixel by pixel, with a rotating 3D model and a flat 2D texture view that remain synchronized. You can start with Steve or Alex, upload a skin PNG, or select one from the Laby library and combine body parts from different skins. Editing layers can be reordered, hidden, renamed, and adjusted for opacity and blend modes. Drawing options include brushes with different shapes and sizes, fill modes, auto-tone shading, a clone stamp, lasso and magic wand selections, and symmetry. Filters include grayscale, colorize, brightness, contrast, saturation, hue shift, posterize, outline, and gradients with dithering. The editor switches between classic Steve and slim Alex models. It saves work, including layers, in the page URL and exports a 64×64 PNG for Minecraft: Java Edition. Its touch-optimized layout supports phones and tablets, using one finger to paint and two to rotate or zoom. It is free, with no account needed.
SkinMC
SkinMC is a browser-based Minecraft skin editor for creating and adjusting skin textures. Its preview and editing tools let users draw with a pen, sample colors, fill areas, change brightness, and erase. Undo and redo, a grid option, and controls for body, overlay, model, and position help with revisions. The editor auto-saves and provides options to import a skin and download the result. SkinMC also lists a skin viewer, avatar maker, and achievement tool, as well as community features for skins, totems, heads, avatars, capes, banners, servers, and a leaderboard. Separately, its Fabric mod enables custom capes for Minecraft versions 1.18.1 through 1.20.x. Setting up the mod requires signing in and connecting a Minecraft account to SkinMC before uploading a cape. Uploaded capes are visible in game to others using the mod. The editor is free and runs in a browser.
