In their own words
Laby Skin Studio
Laby Skin Studio is a browser editor for building Minecraft skins pixel by pixel, with a rotating 3D model and a flat 2D texture view that remain synchronized. You can start with Steve or Alex, upload a skin PNG, or select one from the Laby library and combine body parts from different skins. Editing layers can be reordered, hidden, renamed, and adjusted for opacity and blend modes. Drawing options include brushes with different shapes and sizes, fill modes, auto-tone shading, a clone stamp, lasso and magic wand selections, and symmetry. Filters include grayscale, colorize, brightness, contrast, saturation, hue shift, posterize, outline, and gradients with dithering. The editor switches between classic Steve and slim Alex models. It saves work, including layers, in the page URL and exports a 64×64 PNG for Minecraft: Java Edition. Its touch-optimized layout supports phones and tablets, using one finger to paint and two to rotate or zoom. It is free, with no account needed.
The Skindex
The Skindex is a community website where Minecraft fans share and explore custom skins, with a browser-based skin editor. The editor offers controls for the character body and overlays, but blank skins cannot be downloaded or uploaded. Users can download skins from their individual pages and save or revisit them through Wardrobe. Community options include liking, disliking, commenting on, following and blocking users or their content. The site explains how to upload downloaded skins to Minecraft on PC and Pocket Edition on mobile, and supports both Classic models with 4px arms and Slim models with 3px arms. Downloading does not require an account. People creating accounts must be at least 13, or at least 16 if they are in the EU/EEA or UK. The Skindex is free to use and states that it is not an official Minecraft product and has no endorsement or affiliation from Mojang Studios. It also says it uses Cloudflare for content delivery and security and may log IP addresses and limited technical information for security and moderation.
