Overview

Lawn Snow App is a service-management platform for lawn care, snow removal, and other seasonal operators. It is best suited to businesses that want owners, crews, and customers working from connected portals. Its broad workflow coverage is compelling, but per-stop charges and a payment-settlement limitation deserve attention before choosing a plan.

Key features

The Owner Dashboard and Command Center bring customer and property records together with jobs, service plans, requests, crew coordination, reports, documents, maintenance records, payment visibility, onboarding imports, and customer follow-up. That breadth can make it the operational center for a business handling recurring routes and one-off work, rather than a tool limited to dispatch.

The Crew Portal lets staff view assigned jobs, update status, track time on site, add notes, complete work, and consult approved field documents in the Crew Pocket Library. Customers get a separate portal to review upcoming and completed unpaid work, submit requests, see customer-visible notes and credits, and use the payment flow when processing is active. This separation is useful for businesses that want customers and field crews to handle their own parts of the workflow.

The service is designed for mowing, snow removal, seasonal cleanup, weed treatment, fertilizing, mulch, irrigation checks, estimates, one-time jobs, and recurring service plans. Route planning, crew scheduling, property management, service logs, invoicing and billing, and a client portal are supported. The Field Guide offers audio walkthroughs for the owner, crew, and customer portals and the onboarding upload workflow. A Partner can upload a company backup or export, complete onboarding review, and begin with a populated Command Center.

Access runs in a browser on Apple and Android devices, tablets, laptops, desktops, and phones; no app-store installation is required. Crew access is emailed when an owner deploys work, while customers receive a secure portal link in service emails and invoices. Payment costs are split between Standard Stripe Fees and LSA Fee recovery; when recovery is enabled, the customer-facing LSA Fee is capped at $7.50 per paid invoice. Optional automated tax calculation costs $1 per tax-calculated invoice. The Field Guide does not model processor settlement or overage allocation, a meaningful caveat for operators evaluating how payment flows reconcile.

Pricing

Starter costs 0.00 USD per month, with no monthly software fee, but charges $2.90 Internal LSA Cost per Paid Service Stop when paid or marked paid. Automated tax is optional at $1.00 per tax-calculated invoice. This removes a subscription commitment, but businesses with frequent paid stops should weigh the transaction charge rather than treating the plan as cost-free.

Core costs 85.00 USD per month, or $900/year, equivalent to $75/month when billed annually. It lowers Internal LSA Cost to $1.00 per Paid Service Stop and includes reports, requests, jobs, service plans, documents, and maintenance workflows. It is the stronger fit for operators who need those management tools and have enough paid stops for Starter's higher per-stop rate to matter. Automated tax remains an add-on at $1 per tax-calculated invoice.

Scale costs 350.00 USD per month, or $3,960/year, equivalent to $330/month when billed annually. Its $0.25 Internal LSA Cost per Paid Service Stop and higher-volume payment-workflow focus make it the plan to consider when payment volume is substantial; the subscription is a much larger fixed commitment than Core. Automated tax is again $1 per tax-calculated invoice. Starter, Core, and Scale can earn a Longevity Bonus of up to 50% of eligible Internal LSA Cost based on credited Active Months.

Platforms

Lawn Snow App runs on the web, Android, and iOS. Browser access also covers tablets, laptops, desktops, and phones, so teams can use it across office and field devices without an app-store install.

Who it's for

It is a strong candidate for lawn, snow, and seasonal-service companies that need property and job administration alongside crew scheduling, field updates, customer requests, and payment visibility. Businesses with recurring service plans and multiple roles to coordinate can make use of its divided portals. Operators focused solely on dispatch, or those unwilling to account for per-stop costs and the unmodeled settlement and overage allocation, should compare alternatives first.

Pros and cons

Pros: Owner, crew, and customer workflows cover records, job execution, service requests, documents, and customer-visible information in one service.
Pros: Browser access across phones, tablets, and computers avoids requiring app-store installation.
Pros: Starter has no monthly software fee, while Core and Scale reduce the Internal LSA Cost per paid stop as the subscription rises.
Cons: Starter's $2.90 per-stop charge can add up for businesses with frequent paid work, and optional tax calculation adds a fee per qualifying invoice.
Cons: Processor settlement and overage allocation are not modeled in the walkthrough, limiting clarity around those payment operations.

Alternatives

Snow Removal Software is a useful category starting point for comparing snow-focused tools. Consider CrewNest for a free plan capped at three estimates a month, ten satellite measurements, 50 SMS messages a month, and one user, with customer management and job scheduling. Snow Removal CRM by ServeHub is another free option, with estimates, contracts, jobs, invoices, one-tap card payments, unlimited team, and one AI website build in its Free plan.

Choose Autopilot if you want a paid option with a $49.00 USD per month Run plan, one user, scheduling, jobs and dispatch, estimates with online approval, and invoicing. Plowdesk offers a free Operator plan with unlimited users and customers, up to three storm routes, manual customer notifications, and Venmo payment tracking. Icey has a free plan for up to 15 active sites and five operator seats, with unlimited admin, office users, and clients; unlike Lawn Snow App, its free plan has no free trial.

RouteStacker may suit teams that prefer a platform-fee model: its free plan allows unlimited customers, jobs, and team members, with a flat 5% platform fee on payments processed plus standard credit card and ACH processing fees. Wintertrace is a free, open-source option maintained by one person. FieldBased is a paid alternative with a $29.00 USD per month Starter plan for one user, 1,000 emails a month, and a 1% card fee.

Verdict

Choose Lawn Snow App if your lawn, snow, or seasonal-service business needs owner administration connected to crew execution and customer self-service. Its broad portals and service workflows are the main reason to choose it; compare elsewhere if per-stop charges or the lack of modeled settlement and overage allocation make payment operations too difficult to assess.
