Overview

TNC Track is a workforce platform that combines attendance and leave with HR, project, finance and CRM tools. It is best suited to remote, hybrid and multi-location teams that want those workflows in one system. Its free attendance core is useful for a small team, but five free seats and paid modules make the cost rise as the team adopts more of the suite.

Key features

Employees can clock in and out on the web, mobile apps or NFC stations. Timezone-aware shifts, missed-punch alerts, overtime calculations and leave-without-pay handling address practical attendance needs across locations. Online leave applications, one-click approvals, balance and accrual tracking, regional holiday calendars and a shared team calendar extend that coverage beyond a basic time clock. These tools suit teams coordinating schedules and absences across sites, though the free seat allowance constrains a larger rollout.

Project tools include a six-stage Kanban board, sprint planning, Gantt timelines, task assignment, timesheets and workload alerts. Other modules cover employee records and onboarding, org charts, salary and payslips, invoicing, CRM, analytics, awards, training and skills tracking, and company policies. The breadth is a meaningful advantage for organizations seeking to consolidate workforce processes, but most of these capabilities are add-ons rather than part of the lasting free offer.

Manny, described as a GPT-4o assistant, reads company policy, answers questions and drafts reports. Role-based permissions can reach individual sections and actions. The maker says tenant data is isolated at the database layer, encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest, and that credentials are hashed and sessions use HttpOnly cookies. It describes its controls as SOC 2 Type II aligned and its data handling as GDPR-ready, with export and deletion available on request; it also advertises a 99.9% uptime SLA.

Pricing

The Free · Pay as you grow plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes five seats, with Team & Attendance free forever. Additional seats cost $5 per month each, billed on the 1st and prorated mid-month. Other modules are free for 30 days, then cost $10/mo per module. This is a sensible way for a small team to keep attendance and team tools at no charge, but it is not a free version of the full suite.

Each add-on module costs 10.00 USD per month after its 30-day trial. Work & Projects covers project tracking, tasks, sprints and bandwidth planning; HR & Compliance covers org structure, permissions, training, awards, documents and policy; Finance includes salary and payslips, client invoicing, subscription tracking and business development CRM; Insights includes reports, analytics, the AI assistant and workforce productivity insights. These separate charges let teams select modules, but using several can make the total materially higher than the free core.

Enterprise has custom pricing and unlimited seats. It is not available for self-serve checkout and includes priority support, a dedicated manager, priority onboarding and migration assistance. That makes it the relevant option for larger deployments that need a managed rollout, while its custom pricing requires a separate buying conversation. A 30-day trial applies to modules; the free plan itself is ongoing for Team & Attendance.

Platforms

TNC Track runs on Android, iOS and the web. Mobile access and NFC stations complement web clock-ins, which gives distributed teams more than one way to record attendance.

Who it's for

TNC Track is a strong fit for remote, hybrid and multi-location teams that need timezone-aware schedules, mobile attendance, online leave workflows and a live organizational structure. Availability management, multi-location scheduling, trainer scheduling, a built-in time clock, approval workflows and employee self-service support that operational focus. Its five-seat free allowance makes it easier to start small; teams needing a broad suite at no ongoing module cost should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros

Attendance and leave work together: Multiple clock-in methods, timezone-aware shifts and shared leave workflows suit teams spread across locations.
Broad optional coverage: Project, HR, finance and insights modules can bring related workforce processes into one platform.
Granular access controls: Permissions down to individual sections and actions support differentiated staff access.

Cons

Only five free seats: Teams above that allowance pay $5 per additional seat each month.
Most modules become paid: Each module costs $10 per month after the 30-day trial, so a multi-module setup adds recurring charges.
Enterprise requires a sales-led purchase: It has custom pricing and no self-serve checkout.

Alternatives

For teams whose main need is scheduling rather than a broad workforce suite, compare Gym Staff Scheduling Software. Readers focused on leave workflows can also browse Leave Management Software, while those seeking a wider HR system can use the HR Software list.

Connecteam is another freemium option with Android, iOS, web and API platforms. ShiftCal offers a free plan for five people at one site, so it is worth considering for a smaller single-location team. Sling may suit teams that want a free plan for up to 30 users with shift scheduling and time-off requests. Rosie has a free plan for up to 15 people at one site, with rosters and shift templates. Shifton offers a free plan for up to 10 team members with scheduling, a calendar and time clock. Homebase is another freemium option. Cicini is a web-only freemium option with a free tier for one team member and 30 bookings per month. Emplora offers a free tier for one location and up to 15 employees.

Verdict

Choose TNC Track if your team needs attendance and leave workflows alongside optional HR, project and finance tools, especially across multiple locations. The combined platform is its strongest case; the five-seat free cap and per-module charges are the reasons to compare alternatives if you need more users or several capabilities on a tight budget.
