In their own words
Legal Assistant
Legal Assistant is an AI tool for legal research and document review, trained on an organisation’s own legal knowledge base. It searches precedents, practice guidance, regulatory frameworks, and research materials, and reviews contracts, court documents, regulatory filings, and correspondence to summarize key provisions, obligations, and issues. Other workflows include regulatory navigation, matter research, knowledge queries, precedent and template retrieval, and drafting based on the organisation’s materials and house style. Responses cite source documents, sections, or authorities so legal professionals can check them.
The product is offered through KnowledgeFlow in a customer’s Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure. The maker says customer documents remain in the organisation’s cloud tenant and are not shared with public AI models or used to train external systems. KnowledgeFlow supports Microsoft Entra ID authentication, document-level access controls, and managed identity, and provides an audit trail of questions, answers, and sources. Legal Assistant does not provide legal advice; qualified legal professionals remain responsible for advice. The maker invites prospective customers to book a demo; no public price is stated.
PONS Operations
PONS Operations organizes a legal case, transaction, or project as a matter containing documents, tasks, people, and results. Opening a matter can surface relevant laws, suggest tasks, and produce a starting draft based on its context. The system supports solo practitioners, law firms, in-house teams, and multi-entity organizations. Teams can co-edit documents, resolve inline comments, and give outside collaborators access to specific matters. Permissions can be set at individual, team, department, organization, folder, and file levels, including time-limited access for outside counsel. Tasks can include deadlines, files, and comments; the calendar syncs with Outlook, Google Calendar, or an iCal feed. Documents can be imported from Google Drive and OneDrive. Analytics provide organization, team, and per-user views of matters, time, billing, and AI usage. PONS says documents are encrypted at rest, in transit, and at field level, with EU hosting by default or local hosting on request. The product is web-based, offers a free trial, and lists paid pricing as on request.
